💙🖤 COMMUNITY LIFELINE 🖤💙

"This club is a lifeline for the local community."

Those words from our community survey stopped us in our tracks.

For many people, Thornensians RUFC is far more than a sports club. It's a place where friendships are formed, support networks are built, and people of all ages come together to make memories, raise funds, help others and create a stronger community.

Throughout the year, our clubhouse and grounds are home to much more than rugby. From family events and fundraising activities to community gatherings and charitable causes, the club provides a place where people can connect, belong and support one another.

Survey respondents described the club as:

One message came through loud and clear in our community survey: people don't just value what happens on the pitch – they value the people around them.

Whether it's teammates helping each other through tough times, volunteers giving up countless hours behind the scenes, supporters cheering from the sidelines or families rallying around one another, the strength of Thornensians RUFC has always been its people.

Our respondents spoke about friendship, support, respect and community. They described a club where everyone plays a part and where success is measured not only by results, but by the relationships we build along the way.
