Queen's Campus Barbell Club Queen's Barbell Club is an opportunity for people to come and engage in strength and conditioning. Based at Queen's Campus Sports Centre.

The Queen's Campus Barbell Club has been set up to encourage people to take part in Strength and Conditioning style sessions. It is aimed at anyone who wants to get fitter, stronger, faster or anyone who wants to learn how to lift. Sports team members and individuals of all abilities are welcome. Each week we will dedicate time to coaching a new lift so you can drop in and attend every week, or co

me for troubleshooting and advice. The sessions will be lead by 2 coaches who actively train and understand the reasoning and rationale of training. The page will also serve as a go to page for advice and tips that will hopefully take your training to the next level. Feel free to treat this page like a forum: get involved, post questions, and engage with us.

Would any students or gym members be interested in learning the Olympic lifts and Power lifts? If there is enough interest our coaches will arrange weekly barbell sessions and teach you the correct lifting techniques. If you would like to become stronger there is no better way! Sessions would include the sn**ch, clean & jerk, squat, deadlift and bench press exercises.

Squats are one of the most foundational functional movements in our lives.

Even though the squat is considered by many to be a “leg” exercise, it’s really a full body movement that works just about every muscle group in the body.

Whether your goal is to gain strength or lose weight, squats are one of the fastest ways to get there.
