Thornaby Village Bowling Club Est. in 1935, Thornaby Village Bowling Club is a friendly, social and fun club on Thorntree Road, Thornaby.

Bowls is great fun, good exercise & played in Spring & Summer. We have a team who are always on hand to help if you want to start a new hobby. 😊

The George "Judd" Johnson 2026 Memorial Trophy Winner is MARTIN SMITH 🏆 who beat our Runner Up Charlie Tighe 6 - 1 in the Final. Thank you to the 11 people who made the day a special one in honour of Judds name, who himself, was Club Champion in 1995,1998, 2001 and 2002 and also Club President for TVBC between 2005 and 2007. A Big Thank you to Judds Daughter Lesley and her Husband, Raymond for presenting the trophies today in honour and recognition of her father's dedication to Thornaby Village Bowling Club over the many, many decades. 👍 👏

Hi All

Tomorrow ( Saturday ) is the Judd Johnson Memorial Trophy at 1030am. This is an inaugural trophy for the memory of Judd, who was a lifelong and dedicated member of TVBC. We have a new trophy that will be presented by his family for the winner of the Singles KO event. We need as many members of the club to attend to make this event a success and I urge all of our members who are free, to attend on Saturday morning. Thank You 👍

It was our May Open Day today. We had a great afternoon: Willoughby Records had a stall, we had a great tombola - loads of prizes, refreshments were provided with hot and cold drinks. Outside we had drinks set up for tuition for visitors, including children's bowling with novelty rinks. Great afternoon was had by all. See the pictures' captions for info.
