Jamaican Storm ran an absolute blinder at Newcastle to be second by only a head giving tonnes of weight away all round. He was the winner everywhere but on the line.

It was nearly the perfect start to our training partnership today with Cyberspace running well to finish second at Catterick. It’s a momentous day for us Doncaster Racecourse today when Bryan saddles his final runner under his name after nearly 40 years holding a license. As from Monday he will be joined on the license by daughter Beth Smart who has assisted and supported her dad for the last five years but has been immersed in racing all her life. It’s the end of an era for Bryan and the start of an exciting new one at Hambleton House as we look forward with enthusiasm and excitement for the future.

Fantastic picture of Blazing Son winning at Newcastle under Paul Mulrennan for our syndicate The Smart Emblaze Partnership. This was his eight career win. It has been a brilliant few weeks for with four winners including the Ayr Silver Cup, three seconds, and a third and we have already equalled last year’s total for winners.
