A massive well done to all of our fantastic GW girls who all attended York City last night! 👏👏👏

It is a brilliant achievement and a wonderful opportunity for them to continue learning, developing and challenging themselves in a professional environment.

Their hard work, commitment and love for the game have brought them this opportunity and we could not be prouder!

Moments like this show what can happen when young players believe in themselves and keep working towards their goals. 🖤⚽

⚽️ WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SIX WEEKS!

Well, that’s the end of our summer holiday camps and all I can say is thank you! 🖤🤍

Over the past six weeks, we’ve welcomed so many new and familiar faces, with children joining us week after week.

For some, it was their very first experience of playing football, while others have been playing for several years but every baller brought fantastic energy and enthusiasm!

The number of girls attending has been incredible, with more girls than boys joining us on some days.

It has been brilliant to see and shows just how much the girls’ game continues to grow! 🙌

To finish the summer with more than 1,000 bookings across our camps is simply amazing.

Thank you to every baller who attended and every parent and carer who trusted and supported us.

A massive thank you must also go to Coach Alex Charlesworth for all his hard work, energy and support throughout the summer.

It wouldn’t have been possible without you! 👏

Enjoy the rest of the summer, and we’ll see you all again in September!

⚽️ A VERY PROUD PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMENT ⚽️

I’m incredibly proud to share that I have officially become a scout for Bradford City AFC. 🟡🔴

As a lifelong Bradford City supporter and season-ticket holder, this club has always meant so much to me.

Matchdays are made even more special because I now share them with my son, Rory, who is also a season-ticket holder.

To go from supporting Bradford City all my life to now having the opportunity to work for the club is difficult to put into words. It’s a genuine honour and something I’m extremely proud to have achieved.

Football and player development have become a huge part of my life. Through running GW Football Academy, my work with Thirsk Falcons and my role as Chair of the Hambleton & Richmondshire Junior Football League, I have always wanted to help improve grassroots football and give young players the best possible opportunities to enjoy, develop and reach their potential.

This role is another exciting step in that journey.

I’m looking forward to learning, developing and hopefully identifying talented young players who could have a future in the game.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in me along the way.

This is a very proud moment for me and my family but it is only the beginning of what we can achieve.

A GREAT START TO OUR SUMMER WILDCATS & FLEDGLINGS IN COLLABORATION WITH Thirsk Falcons Football Club ⚽

What a brilliant morning we had at our first summer session!

It was fantastic to welcome boys and girls aged 4 to 11, all enjoying their football, learning new skills and having fun. 🙌

Whether your child has played before or is looking to kick a ball for the very first time, Wildcats & Fledglings is the perfect place to get started!
