Highly Recommended Experienced UKCC Level 2 Cricket Coach who has been coaching since 2006 with a passion for the game and for sharing it in order to help develop cricket skills in boys and girls of all ages. Enjoys and gets pride out of following the progress of these players through the age groups and into adult cricket. Available to coach throughout Yorkshire with professional academies/coaching organisations, at clubs, in schools, on a one to one basis and also for cricket birthday parties. Highly Organised – a much needed skill when sometimes dealing, with assistants, with close to 40 children at any one coaching session

Session Planning – works closely with the organisation to understand the current level, age and experience of the players in order to plan future coaching sessions accordingly

Co-ordinates – works closely with and guides all volunteers/parents assisting with coaching sessions in order to ensure that the learning of the children is maximised

Builds Confidence – of players with a focus on positive feedback on their performance in order to seek to build their confidence and enjoyment

Identifying Talent – ensuring that talented individuals are identified and stretched in order to maximise their performance

Feedback – provides feedback to parents on an informal basis on progress made and where additional practice on specific skills may be useful

This little superstar grandson, not yet 3, was a bit upset when I didn’t hit the first ball, until I told him his aim was to make me not hit it and to try and hit the wickets! “Oh” he said - and then he was happy when I missed it the next time! ❤️👏🏏

Was thrilled to get a video with England Cricket fast bowler Mark Wood this morning! What a lovely guy!

I had spotted him with Stuart Broad and Mark Butcher and asked them if I could take a photo and he said don’t you want to be in it also! So I got him to do this little video instead and mention Rainton Cricket Club.

I nearly asked him to also mention my cricket camps on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, but I thought that might’ve been a bit cheeky! 😬🏏
