🥂 Congratulations to our Yorkshire Clay Days competition winners!

A big well done to Marie Bourke and Christopher Diss, who each won a bottle of champagne after coming closest in our cartridge guessing competition at Duncombe Park a couple of weeks ago.

Over the two days 189 people had a go at guessing the exact number of empty 20-gauge cartridges in our vase. While there were plenty of good guesses, lots of our entrants missed one important detail and guessed the total number of cartridges rather than just the 20-gauge cases we were asking for! 😄

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, entered the competition and supported a really fantastic event. We had a fun couple of days and it was great to catch up with so many of you! 🥏

🏆What a BRILLIANT week of competitions! 🏆

We’ve loved hosting you for some competitive shooting and the team did a fantastic job this week with two competitions on the bounce, but they absolutely nailed it.

Seeing everyone having fun and enjoying the stands made all that hard work and planning worthwhile, so thank you to everyone who came along!

Feeling competitive? 🥏💥

We’re getting ready to host not one but TWO evening competitions at Thimbleby this week!

Here’s everything you need to know 👇

👉We’re hosting the Osmotherley Show Clay Shooting Competition from 5pm on Tuesday (16th of June) with a 50-bird sporting competition until 8pm (last entry at 7pm).

There are prizes for 1st to 3rd places for Open, Full Time Gamekeepers, Show Committee Members and Ladies & Juniors (Under 18s), plus a 16-target Pool Shoot running from 6pm to 7.30pm.

No need to book, entry is just £20 per person, and we'll have burgers and beer available from the café throughout the evening! 🍺

👉Then, on Wednesday (17th of June) join us from 5pm for our 50 Sporting & More competition!

Alongside the usual sporting challenge, we’ve got a rabbit stand, pigeon hide, sporting pair, .410 stand and driven game style stand.

Last entry is at 7pm and the cafe will be open until 8:30pm serving our Shots & Supper Deal.

Entry costs £24 for members, £28 for non-members and we recommend booking - just 📧 [email protected]

Fancy dipping your toe into clay shooting with a friend or loved one? 🧡

Our Have a Go Together experience is designed specifically for beginners and includes expert instruction, 25 clays and cartridges, safety equipment and gun hire. It's a great way to try clay shooting in a relaxed, friendly environment and see what all the fuss is about!

Still not sure if it’s for you? Here’s a review from Mike, who came along for a Have a Go Together session and shares his experience:

🗣️Had a fantastic morning with my nephew at Thimbleby trying the "have a go" taster session. Both of us hadn't touched a gun in our lives, so we didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, Russ, an extremely knowledgeable instructor, was on hand to show us the ropes. His enthusiasm and kindness really made a mark on my nephew, who ended up being quite a good shot! All of the team were happy to help while we were there. We can't wait to come back for a training session. Thanks again.

Our very well-stocked gun room is headed up by William Mole, and it’s a great spot to browse the latest models from brands including Zoli, Farbarm, Beretta, Caesar Guerini, Bl**er and Perazzi.

You can take a demo or preowned one out onto the shooting ground to help you make the right choice and get the right one for you!

We can also give you advice on gun fit, eye dominance and more, to make sure you’re getting the most out of your shooting. The gunroom is open whenever the clubhouse is open, so why not plan a visit?

🏆Next week we have not one but TWO competitions taking place at TSG! 🏆

👉 Tuesday 16th of June: We’re hosting the Osmotherley Show's annual Clay Shooting competition, and we’ll be running a 50-bird sporting competition from 5pm until 8pm (last entry at 7pm), with classes for Open, Full Time Gamekeepers, Show Committee Members and Ladies & Juniors (Under 18s). There will be prizes awarded in each class, and we're also introducing a 16-target Pool Shoot running from 6pm to 7.30pm. No need to book, just show up on the day!

👉 Wednesday 17th of June: A clay shooting competition with a twist! Alongside our classic 50-bird sporting, we’re adding in a pigeon hide, a 410 stand, a rabbit stand, a driven game-style stand and a sim game pair that you need to hit with one shot. We’re expecting a great turnout and encouraging people to book their space in advance, so drop Caroline an email at [email protected].
