We are kicking off September with a bang!

The ABRS Rosette award is a fantastic way to recognise learning and achievement, both on the ground and ridden.

We have now released our first date for any of our lesson students to come along and gain a Stage 1 Rosette.

Tuesday 1st September.
9-11am - Stage 1 - Green Rosette Award. Health and Safety. This award must be gained before progressing on to the others.

11am - 1pm - Stage 1 Pink Award. Mounting and Dismounting Independently.

1pm - 3pm Stage 1 Purple Award. Horse Awareness and Understanding.

£25 per session/award. Minimum age 5.

We will be offering various dates over the Autumn/Winter to collect many of the different colours, so that you can be awarded the overall rosette award for the stage 😄

Time for another check in, prompted by Chloe!

4 years later, we have 10 working ponies, and a number of retired golden oldies.

A fabulous team of staff, that share the vision. Especially the youngsters that are currently working and volunteering, and reminding me so much of myself. All sharing the sentiment, that we are a family of humans and ponies. And work hard for eachother.

My 16 year old daughter, a great horsewoman and business woman should she choose the path.

Still firmly supported by Chloe.

We have worked hard to create a more inclusive and therapeutic approach to our offering. With staff using their own savings to train and gain additional qualifications in the area. Thankyou Sue!

And hopefully a new community offering! After securing additional land locally to expand our community reach and share our love of horses and the outdoors 🫶

When the kids give you “bubble braids”… blues face just says it all! 😂

So…..I don’t get much time for holidays (or budget 😅) as our pony family keep us busy! But, I’m away this week with my family. As my oldest has just finished her GCSE’s, so I felt it really important we have some downtime as a family. Grateful for my super team for holding the fort while we are gone 🫶

Day 1 of our Devonshire break, and we have gone hunting for wild ponies on the Dartmoor. We found them almost instantly. And after spending some time giving them a fuss, we were met by their owner doing his daily checks.

After seeing us with the ponies, he invited us down to his farm to see his young stock for sale. Even inviting us in for tea.

Now, the girls want one to come home with us. And it was very clear who we should choose. The lovely Buster, confidently introduced himself, and encouraged the rest of the herd to do the same. However, after they all returned to grazing, he stayed. Intrigued and curious.

I buy most of my horses this way. Them choosing me, instead of vice versa.

Now wild ponies take time, and a lot of patience and experience. But we have done this before….successfully 😊

But I’m putting it out there to all of you guys….who would you choose?
