Zumba Fitness is one of the most popular exercise crazes in recent years, and with good reason!
By joining a Zumba class you will get a fantastic full body workout, aid weight loss, and improve not only your fitness, but also your coordination, which is extremely important as you grow older.
Dancing, however, does not benefit only young people. The health benefits of dancing for seniors include positive impacts on your physical health with improvements in posture, stamina, agility and flexibility , to creating strong social connections that increase your sense of happiness and well being. There has also been studies citing that dance, more than any other leisure activity reduces the risk of dementia.
From January, I’m excited to add 2 NEW Zumba Gold classes to my timetable aimed at the active older adult. It is also the perfect introduction for beginners as it is low impact and easy to follow.
