Forget Storm Austen and Storm Boelo... the real force travelling to Henley this weekend is Thatcham Rugby. 💨🏉

Thatcham 1s made the short trip over to our friends at Crowthorne RFC for a fiercely contested away fixture, coming away with a thoroughly well-deserved 18-36 victory (though a few of us briefly thought it was 39!).

It was an all-around commanding performance on a day where the lineout, scrum, passing, and catching all clicked into place. Our young, exciting backs constantly punched holes and made phenomenal ground all afternoon. That hard work set up a pair of tries apiece for Chambers and Sadler, who remarkably only needed a grand total of 16 yards of distance carried, between them, for their four combined scores!

Cullum also got in on the act with a well-taken try complemented by some clinical kicking to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Special mention goes to Chairman Slobs, who put in a full shift with a 'mature' 80 minutes of pushing and lifting, there's no truth in the rumour he was seen running. 👀

Next week sees games against Farnham Royal and Henley 3s - all hands to the pump!!

Every club needs people to step up and give it a go - No Ref No Game......... it always seems so easy from the bottom of a ruck or the sidelines, give it a go, you never know you might like it

🏉 Matchday away at Crowthorne! The lads are locked in, the boots are laced, and we’re ready for 80 minutes of hard rugby. Come on Thatcham! 💛🖤💪
