Another week down, thrilled to see the progress amounting on this journey so far.

This week, bodyweight reaching 109kg, a gain of 2.6kg from the previous week. Slowly but surely edging closer to the goal range of 110-113kg, with 8 weeks remaining, I’m in a great position to achieve this.

The road to change hasn’t always been easy due to not having the biggest of appetites, the dedication is showing through now. I’m contemplating pushing even further and aiming for a bodyweight of 115kg.

I didn’t expect to be gaining this fast, I will be cautious that it will slow down so I will focus on the original goal.

After a prolonged period of calorie deficit, training significantly suffered, leaving myself with low energy levels, very inconsistent performance and a lack of desire/motivation.

I want to see what I’m really capable of in the DBD Summer Open… That’s the driving element of this transformation.

Since transitioning into a surplus, within the 2 weeks, I've experienced a remarkable shift. Limits are being pushed daily, confidence is rising, energy levels at the highest they’ve been for a long time. Every day has become so much more productive also, I can focus on getting tasks done.

Week 1 (105 - 106.4KG) has been completed!

A very successful week, weigh in last Friday was at 5pm, so hydrated as well as fuelled.

This week was 9am before I have consumed any food or water. To have an increase of 1.4KG between photos is huge, we would be more talking around 2.5-3KG increase. Consistently weighing in at 9am from this week onwards will create the accurate results I need.

Etching closer to the 110-113KG mark, with 10 weeks to go, this is very achievable.

Noticeable differences this week:

- Increased energy
- Feeling like I can really work when training
- Decrease in frustration levels
- Improvements in focus & mood
- Getting more productive work done

It’s safe to say when comparing the previous preps leading up to regionals and nationals that this prep is leading onto something…

Prep 1: Regionals 252.5/152.5/295 = 700KG
Prep 2: Nationals 267.5/145/290 = 702.5KG
Prep 3: Estimated weekly totals consistently between 765-800kg

Focus on keeping the standard of training high, remaining conservative and continue to develop the technique. How close can we get to 800kg…

You DON’T need the fanciest of equipment or the fanciest of nutrition plans…

Lastly you DON’T need an experience within the realm of training at all…

What you DO need is a goal, an intentful plan of action and to start now!

Woah what a journey Scott has been on, inspiring hundreds of people in the gym, his co-workers, family & friends. Working his way to a 500kg Seated Bench Press to now working towards a 21 mile charity walk in September!

The before and after shows how far Scott has come, strength wise starting at red bands to pushing 500kg! This journey has also improved his mental health, always having a smile on his face, such a nice sight to see 😁

Great Sessions w/ Selda, Smashed a 70Kg Squat Personal Best! Furthermore Sled Pushing 130Kg 🥵

Medicine Ball Hamstring Curls is a great exercise to give a try, requiring much more stability than the seated/lying variant, to top that off this incorporates some glute activation similar to that of a glute bridge!

Talk about ‘BANG FOR THE BUCK’! 🤩
