The Studio by MBH has teamed up with Kirsten to launch her very first Women-Only 0–5K Beginners Run Course 🏃‍♀️

Studio clients/members get priority booking but be quick as there are only 8 spaces available!

This 8-week course is perfect for anyone new to running or returning after a break. It’s thoughtfully designed to reduce injury risk and progressively build your running ability in a way that’s safe, achievable, motivating and fun.

The course is led by Kirsten, who many of you already know as a Soft Tissue Therapist specialising in injury assessment, treatment, rehab and sports massage. She’s also a qualified and licensed England Athletics Run Leader with 30+ years of running experience across all distances.

📍 Fridays, 8:15am
📅 17th April – 5th June

Meet at The Studio for a warm-up, followed by a 30–45 min session. Afterwards, debrief over a discounted drink from our friends at Monkey Puzzle ☕

You’ll also complete two independent runs each week, with the option to “graduate” at a group Parkrun on Saturday 13th June at an official timed 5K event 🎉

There’s also an optional WhatsApp community for support, encouragement, advice and even arranging buddy sessions along the way.

Cost: £80

Weight training after you’ve had a baby is super important, both for physical and mental health.

Your body has been through a lot during pregnancy and birth. With hormonal changes, sleep deprivation and a new physical load from carrying, feeding and lifting your baby every day.

This is why strength training matters and why we created the MumBStrong classes at 🤍

In our sessions we help you to:

Rebuild your core strength safely. There is a questionnaire before the sessions which tells us about you, your baby, your birth and if you’re aware of any prolapses, diastasis recti or hernias etc.

We do exercises which involve more stabilising, rather than too much crunching/twisting so your core is being built back slowly and in a safe way.

This in turn will help restore and strengthen pelvic floor function, as well as adding weight and load to exercises where safe and necessary.

Weight training will also improve posture, reduce pain which you may find has increased since holding your baby on one side, feeding them or from the relaxin hormone which can affect your joints/muscles causing pain in hips/knees/backs.

As well as physical differences, feeling stronger and being able to have 45 minutes for yourself are key in helping mental health too. As a Mum, we know that prioritising yourself lands at the bottom of the pile, our classes aim to help you take back and have something for you.

We don’t believe in ‘bouncing back’ or shrinking yourself, we are all about getting and feeling strong.

It’s been such a joy to have started two MumBStrong (mum and baby) classes at The Studio! It feels special to be able to see mum’s getting strong and taking a little time for themselves while having their babies watching, being close by or ’s favourite, having a cuddle with her!

We feel very lucky that they are in such demand and are trying to put on more where we can, so keep an eye out on socials!

The sessions are first come first serve, and we always suggest getting on the waitlist as plans do change and people do cancel! Bookings open the week and a hour before the class time.

To celebrate our second birthday we are giving away not one, but two prizes! 🎉

Prize one: if you are an active member of The Studio you will automatically be entered into the prize draw to have the chance of winning four class passes, BStrong, BHealthy or combination.
