🎾 Two emergency camp days this week

With the heat closing schools on Wednesday and Thursday, we've added two morning camps to help with childcare at short notice.

We've got a new air-conditioned space, so we're running earlier to stay ahead of the heat, with the chance to head inside and cool off whenever needed.

The 10% discount still applies with SUMMER10, and if you already have credits you can use them on both days.

I know there's a warning out for both days, so we'll keep a close eye on conditions and only do what's sensible - this is about helping parents out while keeping the kids cool and comfortable.

🎾 The forecast for the week ahead is hot in Thame, with temperatures into the 30s and an Amber heat-health alert in place for much of the week.

We'll judge each session on a session-by-session basis. Our aim is always to run, so assume your session is on unless you hear otherwise. If conditions look unsafe we'll cancel and let you know (some of the feel-like temperatures are forecasting ~40c!).

When we do run in the heat, we'll take plenty of water breaks, move to shaded courts where we can, and modify drills so players aren't working flat out in the sun. Please attend with weather appropriate equipment.

Today John Hampden Year 6 visited the club to kick off our schools tennis roadshow.

This week we will deliver free sessions to all children at John Hampden as part of sports week, along with visiting Barley Hill at the end of June and Aston Rowant in July.

Our aim is for all children in Thame to have the opportunity to play some free tennis! 🎾☺️

🎾 SCHEDULE UPDATE: No Coaching This Weekend

Hi everyone! Just a quick reminder:

There will be no coaching sessions running this weekend (Saturday 25/04 & Sunday 26/04) as I am away.

🗓️ Back to Normal: We will return to our regular term-time schedule starting next week!
