Good luck to all our Thame Runners members who are taking on the London Marathon tomorrow! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

All the grueling training blocks, those pitch-black early mornings, and the endless miles have led to this moment. You’ve put in the work, and now it’s time to collect your medal. 🏅

We’ll be cheering you on every single step of the way—from the Cutty Sark to the Mall! 📣

Our advice for the big day:
• Soak it all in: The London crowd is like nothing else on earth.
• Trust the process: You’ve done the miles; your legs know what to do.
• Be proud: Getting to that start line is a massive achievement in itself.

Go out there, have an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to see all that finishers' bling back at the club! ⚪️ 🔵 🟡

Spring Stagger: Smashed! 🏃‍♀️🌸

What a night in Towersey! A huge shoutout to everyone who laced up for the Spring Stagger last night. Whether you were hunting for a PB or just soaking up the evening air, seeing such a massive turnout from the club was incredible.

The Highlights
• Sea of Club Colors: We may have temporarily "borrowed" the local roads, but we certainly looked good doing it!
• Inspiring Effort: From the sprint finishes to the supportive cheers at the back, the camaraderie was unmatched.
• Towersey Takeover: A slight apology to our neighbours for the traffic—but with performances that good, we couldn't help but make an entrance!

Every single one of you made the club proud last night. It’s nights like these that remind us why we run together.

"The strength of the pack is the runner, and the strength of the runner is the pack."

A Massive Thank You! 🍟🍻
A special shoutout to the amazing staff at The Three Horseshoes. We know a sudden "herd" of hungry runners can be a lot to handle, but you looked after us brilliantly. Thank you for refuelling the team with those legendary chunky chips—they were exactly what we needed!

🎉 From Couch to 5K… to the World! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

What an incredible morning at the Aylesbury Parkrun! Today, we celebrated the graduation of 26 absolute legends from our 2026 C25K cohort.

Watching these runners cross the finish line wasn’t just about completing 5 kilometers; it was about celebrating the moment they stopped saying "I can't" and started saying "I just did."

🚀 This is Only the Beginning
Crossing the finish line today isn’t the end of a program—it’s the launchpad for a whole new lifestyle. Whether it leads to more parkruns, trail adventures, or simply a clearer mind after a long day, the journey of a runner is whatever you want it to make it.

And clearly, our graduates aren't slowing down! We are over the moon to share that 19 of today’s graduates have already signed up for our “Coach to Thame 10k” course. From 5k to 10k—the momentum is real! 📈

❤️ It Takes a Village (or a very dedicated Club!)
This success story wouldn't be possible without our amazing leadership team. A massive THANK YOU to:
• Janette Dixon: Our C25K Run Leader, for her tireless coordination and heart.
• The Co-Leaders: Kirsty, Nick, Sarah, Luke, and Kirsten—thank you for every mile and every word of encouragement.
• Our Club Members: To everyone who stepped in to support the sessions, you prove day in and day out that Thame Runners is more than a club; it’s a community.

"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start." — John Bingham

Well done, Class of 2026! We can’t wait to see where your feet take you next. 👟✨

🏆 Beyond the Gold: Celebrating Every Step! 🏆

Last night wasn’t just about the trophies; it was about the incredible depth of talent we have here at Thame Runners. While we cheered on our 2025 winners, we also want to shine a spotlight on the runners who made them work for every single yard!

More Than Just a Race 🥈🥉
Huge congratulations to our second and third-place finishers across the Club Championship and Cross Country competitions.

In a club as competitive and supportive as ours, those podium spots are hard-won. You pushed the winners to their limits, kept the pressure on until the final sprint, and proved that the "chase pack" is what truly drives our club's standards higher every year.

🏆 Celebrating the Thame Runners Class of 2025! 🏆

What a night! Last night we traded our muddy trainers for party shoes to celebrate the Thame Runners Annual Dinner & Awards Evening. 🥂✨

A massive thank you to Candelo Lounge for being such incredible hosts—the food was fabulous and the vibes were spot on!

Special Shout-Outs:
• Punita: The absolute MVP of the night! She single-handedly organized the entire venue and made sure everything ran smoothly. 🌟
• Andrew & Damian: Our dynamic duo! Andrew kept us entertained as our MC, with his "lovely assistant" Damian by his side.
• Our Winners: A huge congratulations to everyone who took home silverware for their incredible efforts during the 2025 season. Your hard work really paid off!

But most importantly, thank you to the members who filled the room. It’s the people that make this club what it is, and the atmosphere last night was proof of that. ❤️

👟 Look Ahead: Join the Pack!

Another busy weekend of racing for Thame Runners! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There were some fantastic performances across a variety of events this weekend.

👏 Beth Clarke smashed out a new 10k PB of 1:06:20 at Dorney Lake while taking part in the RunThrough event. A great result on the fast and flat course – well done Beth!

Over in South Oxfordshire, Craig Rose, Hannah Calderwood, Christian Plumb and Julia Castle took on the undulating Goring 10k, representing the club in the first race of the Oxfordshire AA Road Race Grand Prix. A challenging course but a great way to kick off the county GP series.

And it wasn’t just running this weekend… Harry Pettingell mixed things up by taking on the Draft Legal Duathlon European Qualifier at Castle Combe. Harry finished an impressive 9th overall and 2nd 🥈 in his category, securing himself a spot at the 2027 European Championships – an outstanding achievement!

👏 Well done to all our racers, and to everyone who got out for a run over the weekend. We love seeing your training runs, races and adventures on the club feed – keep them coming!
