Oh what a fabulous week we have had!
Philippa hosted a quilt retreat at her house in Oakley and she, Paula and Alison all became familiar their quarter inch presser feet, cutting mats and rulers and rotary cutters.
Such splendid results for absolute beginners!

What about a fun evening of stitching Christmas bunting?
Shown below is the basic model which you should easily complete well within the three hours. There is lots of scope for individuality and I can bring along samples to give you ideas, - lettering, bells, buttons to name just a few!

Please note that this class can only run if I get a minimum of 6 bunting creators confirmed by Nov 1st.

The cost of this class is £32 due to the quantity of fabric necessary. All fabric and trims provided with a selection to choose from.

This course is now full.
A day time course of 3 sessions for Absolute Beginners.

7 th, 14th October and 4th November. Friday mornings,9.30 - 12am room 1 at the Barns centre.

During these two and a half hour sessions you will have the opportunity to learn how to thread and use a sewing machine. This can be your own or one of my lovely hand cranked Singers as you prefer. We will cover choosing fabrics and correct needles, stitching straight lines and curves. Each week you will take home a little item you have made.

Week one you will make a needle book.
Week two you will make circular pin cushion and learn gathering by making a fabric rose.
Week three you will learn about cutting and joining bias strips and you will take home a small edged towel.

The total cost for this course is £64. Max number in the class possible is 8. Please get in touch for further details.

Contact me if you are interested in this class suitable for sewers just off the starting block.
You will learn how to insert a zip and a lining into this neat little pouch. All materials will be provided, the same as what you see. You may bring your own machine if you prefer or use one of my lovely old hand cranked singers, just let me know.
Total cost for the three hour session is £25
Depending on numbers I can either book a venue or on weekdays I can teach small groups at home.

I'm so excited to post my first project! Who of my lovely friends would like to come to my first sewing class to make this simple bag?
I can provide fabric although it will not be the same.
I have six beautiful hand crank sewing machines that really do do as you tell them and not run away! I also have all the sewing equipment you need.
Depending on how many people are interested , I can book a venue or hold the class at home.
