When you’re ‘stuck’ behind a cyclist, remember they’re someone’s mum, dad, daughter or son who have as much right to be using the road as we all do.
Be patient and when it’s safe to overtake, give them plenty of room as you pass them.
Allow at least 1.5 m (5 ft) between cyclists & your vehicle when overtaking at speeds of up to 30mph & even more space at higher speeds.

Many of us enjoy the benefits of cycling, especially during the summer months.
To help keep yourself safer, please wear a cycle helmet. Worn correctly, cycle helmets have the potential for reducing head injuries and death from cycling related accidents.
Wearing a helmet is the best way to protect your brain if you fall from your bicycle. Your brain is your body’s computer so protect it with a cycle helmet.
