🏐 SEASON OPENER DONE! 🏐
What. A. Game.
Our first game in Division 5 saw us take on Mangotsfield Dragons 3 in an absolute thriller — and what a way to kick off the season!
Final score: Mangotsfield 42 – Sherston Shooters 40
From the first whistle to the final seconds, every single player battled for every ball, chased every loose pass and refused to give up. There was drama, chaos, tired legs, plenty of sweat… and a LOT of heart!
Q4 was something else. Every goal was fought for, every interception celebrated and every Sherston player kept pushing until the very end. Two goals separated us, but the fight, teamwork and determination on that court was HUGE.
Player’s Player: Sophie — an absolute masterclass in reading the game and disrupting their attack!
Nominated Player: Emma - you hunted everything down, constantly applied pressure and showed amazing leadership today
Special mention also does to Libby, who made her debut and slotted into the team brilliantly today. You caused chaos for the attack and linked beautifully through mid-court.
We may have come away two goals short, but this felt like the start of something special and an exciting season ahead.
