FESTIVAL OF SPORT - MEET THE NETBALL COACHES 🏐
We're thrilled to introduce the dynamic netball coaching team who will be leading the charge at our upcoming residential sports camp this August!
🏅 Gilly Salter: achieved the highest award in netball in the early '80s, securing GOLD at the Europeans with England U.19s. Since being made Captain of the Young England U.23 Squad, Gilly has gone on to coach with England, running their potential development programme, and is currently Head Coach for Severn Stars Wycliffe Performance Development Pathway Group (an U18 England Pathway Programme). She also runs a High-Performance Academy for U.14s. Gilly was awarded an Honorary Life Membership by Netball Southwest and England Netball for services given to netball. As a current England Roses Academy Selector, Gilly's netball expertise is unparalleled!
🏅 Lottie Robinson: teaches in Cheltenham and plays for Team Bath Futures and Hucclecote Premiership in the National Premier League. Lottie previously represented Severn Stars as a Training partner and played for the University of Birmingham 1st team where they took Silver in the Big BUCS final. Lottie plays an important role in helping as a Lead Coach to run the Gilly Salter Sports Workshops.
🏅 Neve Marsden: an up and coming England talent who was selected for England Roses Academy when she was just 15 years old. She went on to win her first Gold Medal at the European U.17 Championships in 2023 and repeated this in 2024. Neve has represented Severn Stars U.15’s and U17’s, before trialling and gaining selection into the Team Bath U.19 squad, playing in the National Performance League this season. Named as Vice Captain for this season, Neve is a great leader and is a wonderful role model for those around her.
