A huge congratulations to two of our members, Chris Job and James Job, who have been selected to represent the GCL Representative Side today! 👏

They’ll be taking on the Bristol District League at Hawkesbury Cricket Club. The game starts at 13:00pm and feel free to pop across and support the boys and the GCL

A fantastic achievement for both Chris and James, and we’re incredibly proud to see two Tetbury Cricket Club players representing the club at representative level. 💙🏏

As Luke gets ready to head back to Australia and rejoin St Kilda Cricket Club, it’s hard to put into words how much he will be missed by everyone at Tetbury Cricket Club.

When the club decided to bring in its first ever overseas player, there was naturally some risk. What we got was someone who didn’t just meet expectations — he completely shattered them.

On the field, Luke has been phenomenal. An incredible 1,265 runs, countless match-winning performances and a style of batting that left bowlers across the county wondering what had just happened! From launching sixes onto Hampton Street to rattling the roof of the Dolphins Hall, Luke provided entertainment every time he walked to the crease.

From his very first ball for Tetbury in a pre-season friendly at Dumbleton — walking down the track and smashing the bowler for four — you knew there was something special about him. None more memorable than his incredible 91 in a chase of 112.

But the statistics only tell part of the story.

Luke’s greatest achievement has been the impact he has had on our club, our town and our young cricketers. Kids gathered at The Rec to watch him bat, inspired by someone they looked up to.

His performances helped deliver a historic season, including Tetbury’s first ever promotion to the WEPL and a T20 Midweek title.

But what we’ll remember most is the person behind the runs. Luke embraced Tetbury, supported his teammates, worked brilliantly with our juniors and became a fantastic ambassador for the club. He created memories that will last long after the scorebooks have been put away. The standards have improved because of him.

Luke, thank you for the runs, the sixes, the victories, the laughs and the memories. Most importantly, thank you for becoming part of our cricket family.

We wish you every success back down under with St Kilda Cricket Club.

A special thank you to Robbie Golding for hosting Luke throughout the summer and helping make his time here such a success. Please join Luke for a goodbye drink at the Priory Inn tomorrow evening (09/09/26) from 6pm.

Honestly, it’s getting a bit greedy now lads! 😂👏

A massive shout-out to our incredible coaches, team managers, scorers, parents, umpires and everyone who has helped make the season happen. Youth cricket definitely takes a village — and we’re lucky to have a brilliant one! 💙

A huge congratulations to every single child who has represented Tetbury Cricket Club this season. From the first ball bowled to the final runs scored, we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved — not just as cricketers, but as teammates too! 💙🏏

🔴 FIRST XI — AWAY vs ROCKHAMPTON Rockhampton Rams
🏆 GCL DIVISION 1 TITLE ON THE LINE!

The equation is simple: WIN well and we’re Champions! 🏆

But Rockhampton have everything to play for too — a victory for them could see them earn promotion to WEPL. Expect a huge game, and we need everyone behind the lads! 💪

🔵 SECOND XI — HOME vs CIRENCESTER 2ND XI
A final game with nothing at stake for our 2nds, but a chance to finish the season strongly. CONGRATULATIONS to Cirencester Cricket Club securing promotion! 👏🍾

🟢 THIRD XI — HOME vs WHITMINSTER 3RD XI Whitminster Cricket Club
And this one could be HISTORY IN THE MAKING! 🤩

A win would mean our Third XI finish the entire season UNBEATEN — THE INVINCIBLES! 🏆🔥

What a season it has been for this group of youth and seniors pulling together, developing, competing and winning! 💚👏

What a huge weekend for Tetbury CC! 🔵🏏💛

Four senior wins on Saturday/Sunday, including a massive milestone for the club…

🏏 1st XI — PROMOTED TO WEPL! 🎉

A fantastic 65-run victory over Thornbury 2nd XI. Tetbury posted 222/7 from 45 overs, before bowling Thornbury out for 157.

A brilliant season has been capped off with promotion into the West of England Premier League (WEPL) — an incredible achievement for everyone involved. WEPL is the top tier of recreational club cricket across the West of England.

🏏 2nd XI — 2 WICKET WIN

Another thriller! Eastcombe posted 233/6, but Tetbury kept their nerve to chase it down, finishing 234/8 and securing a fantastic 2-wicket victory.

🏏 3rd XI — 9 WICKET WIN

A dominant performance from the 3s. Frocester were bowled out for 132, before Tetbury raced to 133/1 in just 17.1 overs to win by 9 wickets.

🏏 Women’s Hardball — 109 RUN WIN

What a performance! Tetbury Women smashed 185/3 from 20 overs, before restricting Frocester Women to 76/6.

There were half-centuries for B Hurdle and A Hall, with A Sheppard adding 28 and T Bolwell 15. A brilliant all-round team performance! 💪

Four games. Four wins. And promotion for the 1st XI.

The season may be coming to an end, but there’s still one very important date in the diary… our Youth Presentation! 🏆✨

It’s our chance to celebrate every single one of our young cricketers — the runs, wickets, catches, first games, big wins, new friendships, plenty of laughs and everything in between! 👏

Whether they’ve been playing for years or picked up a bat and ball for the first time this season, every player is part of the Tetbury CC family — and we want to celebrate them all. 🥰

A massive thank you to our incredible coaches, volunteers and parents for giving up your time, supporting the teams and helping our youngsters grow in confidence both on and off the pitch. 💛

Now it’s time to put the cricket aside for the evening, fire up the BBQ, hand out the silverware and give our youth the celebration they deserve! 🎉🏆
