🌸 Soma Flex Quick‑Start
A gentle guide to your first sessions

1. Get Comfortable
Wash your hands 🙌🏾
🌸 Find a quiet, private space
🌸 Use water‑based lubricant if you wish
🌸 Hold Soma Flex and take a slow breath
Your goal: comfort, not effort.

2. Insert Gently
🌸 Insert Soma Flex slowly
🌸 Stop at any point that feels uncomfortable
🌸 You should feel supported, not stretched

3. Start With Stillness (2–3 minutes)
🌸 Sit or lie comfortably
🌸Take slow breaths
🌸 Notice how your pelvic floor responds

No squeezing or “trying” — just awareness

4. Add Gentle Movement (Optional)
🌸 If it feels comfortable:
🌸 Take a few slow steps

Notice how your body responds with the device in place

5. Micro‑Lifts (3–5 reps)
🌸 On exhale: imagine a tiny lift (20–30% effort)
🌸 On inhale: fully release

Precision matters more than strength

6. Remove & Check In
Remove slowly
🌸 Notice how your pelvic floor feels
🌸 A sense of clarity or ease is a good sign

How Often?
5–10 minutes, 3–4 times per week is a great place to start.
When you are confident inserting and extracting use the soma Flex while exercising or just wear it while you continue your daily activities with increased confidence.

Pause If You Feel:
* Sharp pain
* Unusual bleeding
* Worsening heaviness
* Difficulty inserting or removing

A pelvic health physiotherapist can help if anything feels unclear.

🌿 Remember
Soma Flex is here to help you reconnect — gently, safely, and at your own pace.

Q1: What is Soma Flex®?
A: Soma Flex® is a reusable internal intimate‑wellness product designed to gently support pelvic floor body awareness during natural, everyday movement.
Its soft, flexible, responsive shape moves with your body and is worn discreetly for comfort. Soma Flex® focuses on internal connection, proprioceptive awareness, and interoceptive awareness. It is intended to enhance body awareness and support wellbeing — not to diagnose, treat, or fix medical conditions.

Q2: What does Soma Flex® actually do?
A: Soma Flex® provides a gentle internal presence that helps you tune into your pelvic floor during daily movement. Its responsive shape encourages natural awareness, helping you notice how your pelvic floor engages, relaxes, and adapts as you move. It supports mind–body connection, comfort, and confidence, without forcing contractions or applying pressure.

Q3: Who is Soma Flex® for?
A: Soma Flex® is for anyone who wants to deepen their connection with their pelvic floor and internal body awareness. Many people use it to support:

* Everyday proprioceptive awareness
* A sense of internal grounding
* Gentle reconnection after life events such as childbirth or menopause
* Mindful movement practices
* A more embodied relationship with their pelvic health
* It is not a medical device and is not intended for treating symptoms or conditions.

Q4: How is Soma Flex® different from traditional pelvic floor trainers?
A: Unlike weighted devices or contraction‑focused trainers, Soma Flex® does not rely on load, squeezing, or performance.
Instead, it offers:

* A soft, flexible, body‑responsive shape
* A focus on comfort and natural movement
* Support for awareness rather than effort
* A gentle, intuitive approach to internal connection
* It’s a wellness tool, not a strengthening device.

Q5: Can I use Soma Flex® during everyday activities?
A: Yes — Soma Flex® is designed to be worn during natural, comfortable movement such as walking, gentle stretching, or household activities. It is not intended for high‑impact exercise or strenuous activity. Its purpose is to support subtle awareness, not to challenge or train the pelvic floor.

Q6: Does Soma Flex® treat pelvic floor problems?
A: No. Soma Flex® is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or correct pelvic floor conditions.
It is a wellness and awareness tool that complements — but does not replace — clinical care. If you have symptoms or concerns, a pelvic health professional can guide you.

Q7: What does it feel like to use Soma Flex®?
A: Most users describe Soma Flex® as soft, comfortable, and unobtrusive. It moves with your body rather than against it, creating a gentle sense of internal presence. The experience is designed to feel natural, supportive, and grounding.

Q8: How do I clean and care for Soma Flex®?
A: Soma Flex® is reusable and easy to care for. Wash with warm water and a mild, fragrance‑free soap before and after each use, and allow it to air‑dry fully. Store it in a clean, dry place.
(If you’d like, I can create a full branded cleaning protocol sheet.)

Q9: Can I use Soma Flex® alongside pelvic floor physiotherapy?
A: Yes — many people use Soma Flex® as part of a broader wellbeing routine. It can complement physiotherapy by supporting awareness, comfort, and connection, but it does not replace clinical assessment or treatment.

Q10: Is Soma Flex® safe to use?
A: Soma Flex® is made from body‑safe materials and designed with comfort in mind. As with any internal product, discontinue use if you experience discomfort and consult a pelvic health professional if you have concerns.

As both an occupational health nurse and Menopause Coach I speak to women who are struggling in peri every day. Each story is different, each ones understanding is different.

I was totally unaware of perimenopause and didn't know what it could do. I think now think i may have been in year 8 when, the light bulb turned on, during a menopause awareness course.

Since then I have been doing my best to educate women on perimenopause. As I believe that we need to understand, so we can advocate for ourselves.

To help with this, I am running my FREE three day virtual masterclass in a couple of weeks 22 June - 24 June at 7pm uk / 2pm EST. It is via Zoom and will be recorded and shared in my FB group - Menopause - Empowerment and Support. after the sessions.
Day 1 - is understanding Menopause, Hormones and Symptoms.
Day 2 - learning about Cortisol, what it does and how it affects us. The importance of Hydration.
Day 3 - setting goals and the importance of mindset.
All this gives you the tools to start getting your symptoms better managed, whether it is via HRT or lifestyle.

If you want you can upgrade to a VIP to get extra support and resources.

Ladies I would love some feedback.
I am wanting to arrange an in-person part day retreat. I am wanting to run it myself as Julie Menopause Coach and a friend who is a Reflexologist who is going to train in menopause reflexology specifically.

If you were to attend a 'retreat' what would you be interested in hearing, doing learning etc.

Please share your thoughts below, I would really appreciate your input, thanks. Julie 😀
