The captains have picked their sides, the wicket keepers have found their gloves, and several players are already rehearsing excuses for getting out first ball. 🏏😂

🏏💪 QUARTER FINALS, HERE WE COME! 💪🏏

What a game for our incredible Temple Cloud Women! 🌧️☔

With the rain threatening, a slippery outfield, and some challenging conditions underfoot, this was never going to be an easy afternoon. But the team dug deep, stayed focused, and showed exactly what women’s cricket is all about — determination, teamwork, resilience, and plenty of fight! 🔥

A tough contest against a strong Keynsham side saw us chasing down 116 and getting over the line with 4 wickets to spare, finishing on 119-3 from just 15.1 overs. 👏👏

From the first ball to the last, every player contributed and kept the energy high despite the wet conditions. Days like these prove how much this group continues to grow and what a fantastic advert they are for women’s cricket. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support, score, umpire, and help make the day happen.

🏏 🐯Temple Tigers u11 won in the final over against Keynsham to set up a top of the table clash against Midsomer Norton next Monday. An excellent all round team performance, taking 8 wickets.
🏏 🐯 Temple Tigers u13 are at home to Frome tonight, currently tied 1st with Bear Flat with the next game away at Bear Flat so all to play for!
🏏 ⭐️ With four youth players starring for the 3rds senior team last weekend, two of our girls being selected for Somerset u13 main squad to play against other counties and over 50 children attending All Stars and Dynamos, we are excited to watch these talents grow over the coming years. All playing cricket in a fun and inclusive way in the spirit of cricket and building friendships, resilience and confidence.

A huge shout out to Carys after another brilliant step on her cricket journey! 💙🏏

Coming into women’s cricket can be daunting, but Carys has embraced every challenge with a smile, determination and a willingness to learn.

This weekend she achieved a special milestone by bowling her first maiden over for the Temple Cloud Women’s team 👏🎯. She also showed confidence with the bat, playing some really good shots and proving that hard work at training is paying off.

But perhaps the biggest achievement of all has been seeing Carys become part of an incredible group of women who support, encourage and celebrate each other every step of the way. Team sport is about so much more than runs and wickets, and it’s been fantastic to watch her grow in confidence and find her place within the team.

The future is bright, Carys – and this is only the beginning. Keep smiling, keep learning and keep enjoying every minute of it. We’re all incredibly proud of you! 💙🏏✨

Player of the Match – Dave “Beardy” Willock 🧔🏏

When the 3s needed a captain, Beardy stepped up. When they needed runs, Beardy stayed put.

Facing the first ball and the last ball of the Temple innings, Dave carried his bat for an unbeaten 78* to guide Temple to victory over Uphill Castle C.C.

Some say the beard contains years of cricketing wisdom. Others say he simply didn’t fancy padding up again next week after getting out. Either way, it worked. 😅
