Saturday Morning Workshop @ IOWC

This morning we had the pleasure of coaching 12 athletes from , aged 11–18, and what a great group they were.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever coached a group of young athletes who picked things up so quickly. In just two hours they were learning new skills, asking good questions, and putting everything into practice straight away.

The best part? A few of them were already asking when they could come back before the session had even finished! 👏

A massive thank you to for trusting us with such a talented bunch of athletes. They were a credit to themselves and the club.

Northerns 2026

💪 Youth Athlete Spotlight: Harry 💪

When Harry joined us in December 2025, his goals were simple: build strength and gain confidence.

Fast forward six months, and the progress has been incredible. 👏

🏋️ Sn**ch: We built to 37kg (+4kg PB)

🏋️ Clean & Jerk: We built to 43kg (+3kg PB)

🏋️ Back Squat: 60kg → 72kg (+12kg PB)

At just 15 years old, Harry attends twice a week which shows some great dedication, he’s been very consist, and has a great work ethic. Not only has his strength gone through the roof, but his confidence has grown massively too.

The focus now is continuing to refine his technique. We’re aiming to get him back onto the competition platform later this year, and we’re excited to watch his journey continue.
