Goals: Ben & Jimi⚽️⚽️

After going 1–0 down early on, the boys showed great character to turn the game around and take a 2–1 lead. Unfortunately, a late free-kick denied us the win. We created enough chances to score several more, but it just wasn’t our day in front of goal.

Every single one of the boys put in a fantastic performance, battling through some truly awful conditions and making the coaches very proud.

Player of the match went to Ben D who took his goal excellently and put in an all round great performance. 💥

A big thank you to all the parents who provided lifts at such short notice—your support is hugely appreciated.

Budleigh U12s vs Colyton Youth

On a beautifully sunny day, both teams and their supporters came together before kick-off to pay tribute to the fallen with a respectful minute’s silence.

The match itself proved a challenging one, with Colyton showing why they compete several leagues above us. They ran out 8–0 winners on the day, bringing our cup run to an end.

There’s plenty for the team and coaches to work on, but the effort and spirit were clear to see throughout.

Player of the Match: Preston — well deserved for a strong performance in goal, keeping the scoreline respectable with several excellent saves.

Match Report - Budleigh U12’s v Lympstone U12’s

What an amazing game of football!
The first 15 minutes we played brilliantly — great energy and teamwork. Then for some reason, heads went down, people forgot their positions, and things got a bit scrappy.

But in the second half, the kids came out absolutely brilliant — a complete turnaround! The passing, talking, and movement were all there, even in that horrendous weather.☔️

A massive well done to everyone! 👏

Player of the Match: Kyle 🏆

Amazing performance from the boys today — every single one of them gave their all against a very competitive team.

Kyle was an absolute machine at the back, leading the defence brilliantly and fully deserving his player of the Match award. Great finishes from Logan, Ben, and Jimi, all taken with real composure.

The midfield was rock solid, with Kaleb and Leo running the show and keeping things ticking nicely.

Preston was excellent in goal, twice saving almost guaranteed goals, with his kicking getting better.

All in all, a fantastic team win and exactly what we needed. The coaches couldn’t be prouder of the lads. 👏

Match Report Chaddlewood Minors v Budleigh under 12’s

Well done today boys! You put in a huge effort against a very strong side who are three divisions above us and top of their league. It was a tough game in challenging conditions with the pouring rain, but we’re really proud of the commitment and determination everyone showed right until the final whistle.

Even though the score ended 7–0, every single one of you should hold your heads high — the effort, teamwork, and attitude were brilliant.

Match Report: Copplestone vs Budleigh U12s

On a very windy morning in Copplestone, we suffered a tough 7–1 defeat. It was a hard game to watch, especially after our narrow loss to the same team last time.

There were plenty of positives to take away, but also several areas we’ll need to reflect on and improve as a team — something the coaches will be focusing on in training.

Player of the Match goes to Ben, who worked tirelessly throughout the game and came so close to getting his first goal. A close second was Freddie, whose tackling and determination were excellent all match.🏅

A big well done to Leo on making his debut — great effort and attitude! And congratulations to Logan for getting on the scoresheet with a well-taken goal.⚽️

Plenty to build on — heads up, team, and we’ll come back stronger next time, which is today against a very well organised team💪⚽

Match Report: Teignmouth v Budleigh

Today wasn’t our day on foreign lands. Perhaps the early start and the travel played their part, but we just couldn’t quite get going against a team we felt we were evenly matched against.

The final scoreline of 9–4 to Teignmouth felt a little harsh, as several of their goals came from individual errors rather than sustained pressure.

Our goals came courtesy of Joshua⚽️Kaleb⚽️and Harvey x 2 ⚽️⚽️who all took their chances well.

Player of the Match 🏆was deservedly awarded to Jacob, who, despite the result, worked tirelessly up and down the defensive line and gave everything for the team. Well done great effort by you.

Plenty to learn from this one — we’ll regroup, build on the positives, and come back stronger next time.
