Teignmouth Vets Rugby Tour – Lloret de Mar 🇪🇸🏉

The Teignmouth Vets are heading to Lloret de Mar, Spain, for what promises to be an unforgettable rugby tour in September. After a fantastic season together, the tour is the perfect opportunity for the team to step away from the pitch, enjoy some sunshine and create even more memories together.

The tour will be about much more than rugby. There will be plenty of good times, new experiences, friendship and, no doubt, a few stories that will be talked about for years to come! Rugby friendlies will give the lads the chance to represent Teignmouth RFC on foreign soil, while the rest of the trip will be about enjoying everything Lloret de Mar has to offer.

For the Teignmouth Vets, the strength of the team comes from the friendships built both on and off the pitch. This tour is another chance to bring everyone together, welcome new faces and celebrate what makes vets rugby so special.

What a journey it has been.

What started as an idea among a group of Teignmouth Vets soon became an unforgettable challenge that tested our determination, teamwork, and resilience. Over the months we trained together, completed preparation walks, raised awareness, organised fundraising events, and received incredible support from friends, family, local businesses, and the wider community.

The Three Peaks Challenge took us from Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon, pushing ourselves through tough conditions, long hours, and plenty of sore legs. But throughout every step, we were driven by the knowledge that we were raising money for three fantastic charities – Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and Wooden Spoon.

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that together we have raised an amazing £15,720.

This achievement simply would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, supporters, and everyone who donated along the way. Every contribution, no matter the size, helped us reach this incredible total and will make a real difference to the lives of so many people.

A huge thank you goes to all of our sponsors who backed the challenge from the very beginning. Your support, encouragement, and generosity gave us the platform to make this challenge such a success. We are truly grateful for the faith you placed in us and for helping us turn an ambitious idea into a remarkable achievement.

Most importantly, thank you to every member of the Teignmouth Vets team who took part, supported behind the scenes, donated, shared our posts, attended events, or simply cheered us on. This wasn’t the achievement of one person – it was a team effort from start to finish.

🏔️ A Huge Thank You to Ian Williams 🏔️

The Teignmouth Vets would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ian Williams for their generous support of our recent Three Peaks Challenge.

Over an incredible weekend, the team took on the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, pushing ourselves physically and mentally to raise vital funds for three fantastic charities: Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Wooden Spoon. Every mile climbed and every summit reached was made possible through the backing of local businesses and supporters like Ian Williams.

Community support plays a massive role in challenges such as this, and we are incredibly grateful for Ian Williams’ contribution. Their sponsorship helped us not only complete the challenge but also make a meaningful difference to causes that touch so many lives.

On behalf of everyone involved with Teignmouth Vets, thank you for standing behind us and helping us raise funds and awareness for these amazing charities. Together, we have shown what can be achieved when a community comes together for a great cause.

Finals day…. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day. 22-15 to vets, a great display of rugby from both teams but congratulations have to go to Barnstable on winning the final 🤝👏. We as a group and be very proud of our achievements both on and off the pitch.🙌As always we go again 🙌
