At DSC we weren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the summer!
Today lots of fun and great swimming was had at the annual Summer Splash kickstarting the season for many new to competitions and for some of our seasoned racers.
It was lovely to welcome the lovely team from Kingsbridge Kingfishers Swimming Club to swim with us! Your swimmers were just amazing and thankyou for your TMs and Officials too.

Thankyou to all our volunteers for the work that goes into these events. We couldn’t do it without the Comp secretary, Officials, Timekeepers, Referees, Starters, TM’s, Lifeguards and all that help with the manpower of making an event like this run smoothly!

Thankyou all and WELL DONE to all our swimmers- many medals and PB’s today!

🎉Today is the last training session of the Swim year! We would like to thank our Head Coach Mark, Chairman Chuck, our amazing Squad coaches, LTS teachers, parent volunteers, committee members, TM’s, Officials, Lifeguards and most importantly our swimmers for an amazing 2025/2026 Season!
⭐️Have a well earned two week break!⭐️

As we look forward to another year of fun, competitions, friendships and success please think about giving up even an hour a week to support this well established friendly club in the wonderful grounds of Trinity School. Please ask any of the team poolside how you can help and you will enjoy being part of this valued community club.

What a weekend in Bristol at the City of Bristol Long Course Summer Festival!

🥇Omar Gold for 400Free
🥈🥉Maci Silver for 200Free, Bronze 50Breast
🥇🥈Lucy Gold for 100Back, Silver 200IM
🥈Ollie Silver 200Breast
👏Sophia- amazing first LC competition and finished with an awesome 50Free PB!
⭐️Ffion- a great 200IM PB!

Not only were the swimmers amazing in their races, determination and grit amongst strong competition but they showed true friendship and support to each other during the highs and lows of two full on days of competing! Staying overnight was a lot of fun and we all left Bristol tired but happy!

A big thankyou to Neil and Dom at Torquay Leander Swimming Club for coaching and supporting our swimmers on Saturday and to Ian for a long day of coaching today. Also to Shane for being an official and to Tracey for TMing with me too.

Tommy, Lucy, Maci, Ffion, Isla, Sophia, Daisy and Isaac all had great swims and pbs all round!

Lucy has been invited to join the Devon County Squad and compete for Devon at a National competition in Sheffield in October!

Thankyou to all who came to join in with Dawlish Swimming Club’s Annual Ribbon Gala. It was a wonderful few hours showcasing how great our Learn to Swim group are! They participated in many races and some very fun relays too!
Thankyou parents for bringing them along and supporting them.
Thankyou to our Squad swimmers volunteers who helped out today and a massive thankyou to our wonderful LTS team of teachers!

Thankyou for the invite Kingsbridge Kingfishers Swimming Club we loved your gala this weekend!

Well done Team Dawlish for taking part in the Presidents Shield in Kingsbridge yesterday.
We had some excellent swims, PBs, fun relays and a lot of team spirit!
Lucy and Maci won their hot heats getting a fun prize and we had swimmers new to racing putting in amazing efforts swimming in and above their age groups too!
