🖤 33,000 steps later… 🖤
What a week it’s been.
After warming up the Colour Run at Barley Fields on Saturday, I spent Monday at Junction Farm Primary School as part of their Sports Week, teaching six Clubbercise sessions throughout the day.
The children were an absolute joy to work with. Full of energy, loads of enthusiasm and more than happy to wave glow sticks around a school hall 😅🪩
For those who don’t know, before I started working with adults, I spent well over a decade working in schools. I haven’t really done anything like this since around 2013, so it was a bit of a trip down memory lane.
By the time the last school session finished, I’d already coached an online lifting class and done my own leg day.
Most sensible people would probably have called it a day there.
I, however, still had Clubbercise that night 😅
The feedback from the children and teachers was lovely, and since then I’ve actually had a couple of calls from other schools asking if I’d be interested in coming in too.
Which has definitely got me thinking…
Could this be the start of a return to schools? 🤔
Who knows.
For now, I’m just grateful I got to spend the day doing something I genuinely enjoyed and introducing a few hundred children to the joy of dancing around with glow sticks 🪩👯♀️🖤
