UPDATE // We are delighted to say that the river is open again - although tentatively for now. New regulations have been put in place and this has impacted certain parking spots, beat rotations and river access. You will be informed of these changes upon request. As restrictions are yet to open for hotels and holiday cottages, we reiterate that the fishing is only open to anglers who live close to the river at present. This will change in line with government guidelines. Get in touch via [email protected]

RIVER UPDATE: While the Awe remains closed, we are gearing up for a possible announcement that we can resume some fishing after May 28. As and when this happens, there will be several new guidelines put in place to ensure we safeguard the communities near to the river. These will be published as soon as we know more. Thank you to everyone who has been so understanding about losing fishing days so far – we hope to get you all on the water as soon as we can. Initially, can we ask that only locals (or those who can drive to-and-from the river on the same day) enquire about fishing in the summer months.

Sure, springers are few and far between on the West Coast during March and April, but if you manage to find one they are in a class of their own. Strong, bars of silver, fresh from the sea - they’ll put your gear through its paces. The top beat is your best bet in the early season - we still have availability throughout April, costing £30 per rod per day. Email for details.
