We took a turn round the 3D range today - Bracken was attempting a take over but we beat it back. Some of the targets were hiding behind the long grass but it’s all shootable 😎

The rain forecast was not accurate and the rain mostly stayed away. The midge forecast was and they didn’t which was just fine as I wanted to try out my Finnish mozzie hat against the mighty Scottish midge. The hat won so it’ll be going in the kit bag for the Highland Open.😎
The Coyotes have been released into the wild and most of the target boards telling you what you are shooting at and where to shoot are in the shed ready to go out, the remainder will follow in the next few days.
We just need some sunny and/or windy weather to go shoot them.

Unless you have a Finnish hat..

Any visitors who would like to shoot our course must get in touch with us prior to arriving.
We have just had an incident where someone with knowledge of where our original range was wandered into the clear felling site with their bow and walked up behind the harvester which was felling trees.

This was incredibly stupid and dangerous - the site is clearly marked with warning signs prohibiting entry.

I thought someone had moved one of our 3D targets today..
We stared at each other for a few minutes then went on our separate ways.
Just another stunningly beautiful day in the Argyll Temperate Rain Forest.

T11 repositioned, recently repositioned T12 pegs set to correct distance, Top course and 3D’s shot.Black Wolf repositioned after his near death experience with a fallen tree branch.
Midgies and bracken have made a come back.

It was a long way to Wales and back for UK & Ireland Field Archery Championships but worth it for the tough courses, the views and the craic. Affan Nedd archers had done a ton of work to get ready for the 200 or so visitors and it showed. Many, many thanks to them for hosting us and providing an on course ice cream van - event catering has gone up a level.
