The best permanent downhill mountain bike site in England...Gawton Gravity Hub is a non-profit making organisation run by volunteer riders for riders based near Tavistock in West Devon. It exists to enable riders to ride at Gawton Gravity Hub and Tavi-Woodlands with the permission of the land owners. It is affiliated to, and insured by, British Cycling the governing body for cycling in the UK and

Zurich. The money raised from the membership fees and day passes pays the rent on the two sites, Insurance & covers the track maintenance costs and also pays for the insurance and affiliation with British Cycling and IMBA-UK. Any remaining funds are used to cover the cost of construction of new tracks and facilities.Both the riding areas are on private land which are leased from the Landowners, as a result you MUST BE A MEMBER to ride at either location. You must be able to provide proof of Membership/day membership at all times when at Gawton Gravity Hub or Tavi-Woodlands. Membership and day passes are available via the Podium zone app. The tracks are open 365 days a year from dawn 'till dusk. Other facilities times may vary. Please check the website for current availability.

Come on gang they need your help😜

I have had lots of you reach out already volunteering to marshal for the race, very much appreciated.

I still need another 8 to cover all the stages. No previous experience required as we will have a briefing/training on the day. Just need you onsite at 8am and age 16+. This is a full day role.

We will provide you with lunch, snacks and drinks. Plus the best seat in the house to watch the race!

URGENT UPDATE!!!!

Gawton is now back open on week days😎

Rock n Rolla is now repaired and fully ridable from the top again. It’s very soft but ridable. Attached video shows track modifications.

Egypt is also open again but a tad tougher than it was but it is Egypt after all😜

However Proper Job and HSD require some work before the top sections reopen again.
The lower sections of both tracks can still be ridden by using rock n Rolla to link down to them.

There is a digger and dumper on the still closed sections this weekend so please stay away for your safety.

This post will be updated with further info to keep you all informed 😎

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!

Woodlands aka Chipshop to some of us is NOT open for anyone to ride. The club has not returned to the site, it is race days only by special agreement.

As normal anyone caught riding out there other than on race days will jeopardise it’s future use for anything so PLEASE do NOT ride out there at any other times unless your riding through on the fireroads. Everything else is still out of bounds.

Please read!

It's been brought to our attention that riders have been on site riding without helmets and knee pads. This is required for our insurance so you must wear both! We advise full face helmets but normal trail helmets are acceptable.

Do not move these! A group of riders decided the barriers do not apply to them today and moved them to ride some of the new parts of hsd. This has caused damage to sections which we now need to repair! That's money and time we can't spend on other tracks now. Next person found doing this will be banned
