"We didn't make it to Wimbledon but had a brilliant day of tennis, first time on grass.

Met some lovely people and the club is lovely and the courts are in immaculate condition.

Lost both matches 5-7 5-7 then 6-0 6-2.

Despite this Olivia and I were buzzing on the way home!"

Our new Starting Tennis Later in Life course starts soon.

6 weeks membership and coaching for only £20.

We intend to offer this popular summer course again this year. The 6 weeks of coaching is designed for complete beginners, but works well for returners who have played before. As it's mainly about technique, it's also suitable for potential Walking Tennis players. (The club has a growing number of WT players - two bounces, if necessary, and you're not allowed to run!)

Included for £20 are six hours of group coaching and full membership benefits to book courts, use club balls, join in socials, practise/play with friends.

We will run the course, and finalise dates and times, once we have sufficient numbers, so if you are interested please respond via DM or comment below and we can send your details to Richard.

We’re excited to invite you to the 5th Summer Festival of Tennis at Tavistock Tennis Club on Friday, 19th June. This event has been hugely popular in previous years, and we’d love for even more of you to join us this time to make 2026 the best year yet!

The festival brings together young players from Tavistock Tennis Club, Mount Kelly School, and Mannamead Tennis Club for friendly singles and doubles matches, where players will compete while earning points for their team.

Event Timings:
* Years 3–6: 4:30 – 6:00pm (directly after school), with a presentation at 6:15pm.
* Year 7 and older: 6:30 – 8:00pm, with arrivals from 6:15pm for warm-up.

We’d love for your child/children to take part, and we hope you’ll be able to come along to cheer them on!
