🏆 Swim England Masters Nationals 2025 – What a Weekend! 🏆
I don’t race often these days, but when I do, I like to make it count! This weekend at the Swim England Masters Nationals 2025, I had an incredible couple of days in the pool, setting multiple records and lifetime bests across my events.
🔥 Race Highlights:
• Mixed 4x200m Freestyle Team (100+ age group)
🌎World, 🇪🇺European & 🇬🇧British Record!
o I led off the relay in 1:50.89, which also set new 🇪🇺European and 🇬🇧British records for the 200m Freestyle (35–39 years) and was a 💪Lifetime best.
o Huge credit to my amazing teammates Regan Lloyd, Georgie Pryor & Dolly De Meyer for an unforgettable team swim.
• 100m Freestyle (35–39 years)🇬🇧British Record & 💪Lifetime Best: 50.64
• 200m Freestyle (35–39 years)🇪🇺European Record, 🇬🇧British Record & 💪Lifetime Best: 1:50.73 (even quicker than my relay split!)
• 100m Butterfly (35–39 years)🇪🇺European Record, 🇬🇧British Record & 💪Lifetime Best: 54.34
• 100m Individual Medley (35–39 years)💪Lifetime Best: 56.71
To come away with five personal best times from five races at 35 years old, with the oldest personal best time being 16 years ago 😆 it truly feels incredibly rewarding. It’s a reminder that with smart, consistent training and a love for the sport, you can keep improving long after your “peak” years.
As a coach, I spend most of my time helping others chase their goals, so it’s been really special to put my skills to the test and see the results first hand. Progress truly never stops, no matter your age or how busy life gets.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported me along the way; God, athletes, training partners, and fellow coaches Sonny Trigg & Jon Randall. Time to get back on poolside and keep the momentum going! 💪🏊♂️
