The 3rd Hole at Tavistock Golf Club.

One of our more challenging holes on the front nine where you require a little bit more strategy. 🧐

Ideally favour the right side of the fairway to open up more of the green with your approach shot.

Too far left will make the hole a lot more difficult for you.

Homeward bound.

The 2nd of our three testing par 5’s where risk and reward is the order of the day.

Navigate your way down to green where you will find gorse bushes, banks and bunkers on both front sides on the green.

Our 6th & 14th Double Green at Tavistock Golf Club.

Two of the original 1890 Green's created some 136 years ago.

They were originally two separate greens until the mid 1900's as our 1967 course layout indicates.

All of our course layouts from 1895 to 2002 can be found hanging in our Snug Bar. Well worth a look as quite interesting. 🤓

Originally the 5th & 11th Greens later to become the 11th & 13th and now as you find it today from 2002.

Believed to be one of the Oldest Double Greens in the South West.

It's not unusual to see players putting from over 100 feet when they go long with their approach shots. 😁

The 17th Hole.

One of our slightly shorter holes it take precision and shape off the tee to hold a strong right to left cambered fairway.

Left or right off the tee will leave you short sided so hitting the fairway is vital for an easier approach shot.

Come up short with your second shot and the ball will veer to the left with bunkers waiting.

Go a bit right with your approach and two nasty bunkers are lurking.

Pick the right line here and you might just be rewarded. 😃

The 2nd hole.

Probably our best and toughest hole on the course.

Fraught with danger off the tee and only the best drives will be able to hit the green in two.

This is a tough hole so early in the round so you will be delighted to make a par or better here. 🥳
