We’ve had a number of inquiries regarding our Summer Adventure Days. Unfortunately, we will not be running Adventure Days this year. We are taking some time off after a busy summer season to have some family adventures of our own.

Adventure Days will return for Summer 2026.

Fancy visiting Dartmoor but need somewhere to stay? Look no further, Melrose Cottage is in the perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the train station.

They might even know of a local activity provider or two to spice up your stay!

Great news ! Hourly trains which go to the end of our road. Visit Dartmoor completely car free! Easy connections from London and Bristol too (just over 3 hours from Melrose Cottage to London Paddington!)

It was great to help out some of the Mount Kelly pupils on their Shackleton program last weekend.

A brilliant effort from everybody on some difficult climbs and the sun even came out for us ☀️

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming the Woolands Park Primary School, year 4 pupils through our doors.

This trip was the pupil’s first residential since lockdown and they all did so well!

Such lovely pupils accompanied by some really positive teachers.

A massive well done to everybody!

Simply Outdoors are looking for experienced and enthusiastic instructors to join our team for the 2022 season. Our season spans from March - late September, with a variety of different client groups and programs being delivered.
Position – Seasonal full time instructor

Qualifications and experience
Minimum 2 years experience and hold the following qualifications-
:: British Canoeing L1 Paddle sports instructor
:: Rock Climbing Instructor Award
:: Lowland leader Award

Desirable qualifications
:: Minibus bus D1 entitlement
:: A higher award in any of the above activities

Wage - £14,206.40 - £24,000 P.R Dependable on experience and qualifications.
