Meet Sam, our new Personal Trainer here at OJ Gyms Taunton 💛

“I’m Sam, Personal Trainer, coach, and all round big kid at heart with a real focus on strength, conditioning and functional fitness and mental health/toughness. I enjoy helping people build confidence, get stronger and become genuinely fitter and realising their capabilities along the way — whether they’re completely new to exercise or looking to sharpen existing skills and abilities.

I’m a big believer that training should have a purpose, but it should also be enjoyable. I like keeping things practical, challenging and tailored to the person in front of me rather than just throwing a generic programme at everyone.

Outside of coaching, you’ll usually find me training, drumming, hiking, gaming, or attempting to convince my wife that we definitely need another piece of gym kit/a puppy.

Basically: Teamwork makes the dream work, work hard, and have a bloody laugh doing it! ☺️

- Jodie has continuously smashed it over the last 6 weeks on her school holidays to create the habit she’s been trying to make.
With PT sessions and taking part in a range of our classes, she’s found her love for the gym - focusing on regaining her strength, her 1RM Deadlift is back up to 100kg already!! Amazing 👏🏽 💛
