The Whitmore School of Dancing is run by Principal Susanne Elliott a member of the IDTA (International Dance Teacher's Association) and offers lessons in Ballroom, Latin, Classical Sequence & Freestyle Disco. The Whitmore School of Dancing is extremely lucky to have four fully qualified dance teachers trained with the IDTA and one student dance teacher and four class assistants, so whether you are looking for a social dance class or a more challenging lesson for entering exams and competitions we can offer you a friendly but fun way of learning.

Good evening

I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine. Here are the term dates for the upcoming Dancing School year.

Dates are set out for Tuesdays and Fridays with the number of weeks for each term in brackets next to the dates. Please use these to calculate your termly payments which are due by the end of the first week of each term. The dates the dancing school is closed are stated beneath each term‘s section. Hopefully it is self-explanatory but please do get in touch if you need clarification on anything.

Our presentation evening will be held on Friday 2nd October at Staplegrove Village Hall. Details will follow at the beginning of September. If you normally dance on a Friday evening, please deduct a week from your payment for this term.

The dates will be pinned to the top of the page to make them easier to find for you all.

Good evening

We hope that you are all well and surviving the heat. We’re aware that some schools are closing over the coming days due to the red weather alert coming into force on Wednesday. Due to exams on Saturday, classes will go ahead this week although at a much lower intensity than normal. Please make sure that you bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Hello to our Whitmore Family!

We hope that you are enjoying this glorious weather. I can't quite believe that the summer holidays are almost over. I am attaching the term dates for our Tuesday & Friday classes for the coming academic year.

Thank you to everyone that turned out tonight to support our presentation evening celebrating another successful year of dancing. Thank you to everyone who donated cakes, bought raffle tickets, came to show your support for friends and family. Thank you to the ladies and gents who ran the kitchen during break and special thanks to the Porters for their continued support and Mala and Pradeep for doing an amazing job of presenting the awards. Massive thank you and well done to all of our fantastic pupils for all of your hard work and commitment! We hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Here is the video of the flash mob finale. It’s always one of our favourites of the evening. 🪩 💃🏻 🕺🏻
