Often what PROLONGS chronic injuries, aches and tightness is the wrong FOCUS.

When you are consumed by chronic aches and niggles, you're focused ON THE PAIN.

You're focused on what you DON'T WANT

NOT what YOU WANT (which is the solution)

You're running away from pain.

Now this is understandable and not your fault (We're not encouraged to think any other way)

But it's going to prolong whatever niggles, aches or tightness you have.

Leading to more frustration

The solution is focus on the opposite of pain which is a higher level of health, fitness strength, vitality.

TIGHT MUSCLES WILL RUIN YOUR PERFORMANCE IN YOUR SPORT.

It just doesn't feel good to run when you feel tight. You feel sluggish. Every stride feels like an effort.

But you can change this with a couple of easy steps.

Step 1. Put your phone away for about an hour prior to warming up. In fact be away from any devices. Your phone in many ways will increase stress levels and this is one of the reasons why you feel tight and sluggish

Step 2. Learn to Breathe and meditate in that hour before you warm up. This will energise your body.

When you do these 2 things, you will feel more muscle looseness and more energy for your session

Weak muscles don't pull their weight causing other muscles to overwork and eventually grumble, cause pain and then eventually injure.

For athletes and sprinters, good posture is paramount for fast, relaxed sprinting. In this video, I explain how bad posture creates more effort in each stride and as a result, more tightness. However good posture creates lightness and focused movement on good sprinting technique. Good sprinting technique cannot exist with bad posture. As always, it's important to go back to basics of body positioning for the body to perform for you in your sprinting.
