How to 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 muscle and 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 fat🤔 ⁣

• Make sure you follow a plan that has progressive overload in and not a plan that has too much adaptation in exercises. Your muscles can’t get use to an exercise if you keep changing what you are doing every week. Become an expert in a few lifts rather than doing every exercise with bad technique. ⁣

• Focus on training 3-5 times per week. This will give you a good amount of time for your muscles to recover from the sessions. When exercising, your muscles become under a lot of stress which causes them to tear. Recovery is so important! ⁣

• Use weights!!!! Hypertrophy (8-10 reps) will maximise muscle growth as well as strength. Depending on where you want more muscle mass, focus on prioritising that muscle group more. For example if you want to grow the quads then making sure you have 2-3 legs sessions in a week. ⁣

•Keeping your protein high will help retain the amount of muscle you already have and also help grow potential muscle. I suggest to have between 1.5-2g per kg of body weight. ⁣

•Focus on hitting at least 10k steps a day and consider a cardio session a week. This will help burn off the fat but not cut down the size of muscle. ⁣

Write down what you want to achieve by the end of the year and work out how you will achieve this. ⁣

I believe that every week it’s good to reflect on the week you just had. What went well, what didn’t and how you can improve this for the coming week. ⁣

I feel that recently my nutrition has been letting me down on my fitness goals, so this week I am focusing on hitting my macros as much as possible. ⁣
