✨ Childminding Assistant (Future Nursery Practitioner)

📍 Stogumber Cricket Club, TA4
🕒 21–32 hours (Mon–Thurs, flexible)
📅 44 weeks per year | Start: September 2026

🌿 About Us

Lille & Wild is a nature-inspired, outdoors-first early years setting, currently offering co-childminding with plans to grow into a Forest Kindergarten nursery.

Our ethos is rooted in child-led learning, play, and connection with nature. We believe children learn best through real experiences — exploring, creating and discovering at their own pace.

Based at Stogumber Cricket Club, we use the surrounding outdoor space alongside a cosy indoor base, with plans to develop our own log-cabin nursery on adjoining land.

🌿 The Role

Supporting the day-to-day care of children aged 0–5, helping to create a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment indoors and outdoors.

🌿 What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting play and development through a child-led approach
• Spending time outdoors in all seasons
• Creating engaging environments
• Building positive relationships
• Supporting daily routines and care
• Observing and supporting learning
• Working as part of a small, supportive team

🌿 What We’re Looking For

Ideally Level 3 qualified in Childcare.

We also welcome applicants who:
• Hold a Level 2 qualification and want to develop
• Have relevant experience working with young children

For us, the right person is just as important as qualifications.
We are looking for someone who shares our values, has a genuine passion for working with children, and enjoys outdoor learning.

Baby massage is a wonderful opportunity for you to communicate and bond with your baby through loving and positive touch. Each session, you will learn how to massage a new area of your baby's body, gradually building into a full-body massage.

Our All Things Sensory Wokshop - Sight! 🩵

Such a wonderful morning spent making sensory bottles, ribbon trackers and water mats! Mums were able to relax and chat whilst babies enjoyed some play in a safe space.

We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the morning! Our next DIY Sensory workshop will be focusing on TOUCH🖐We will be releasing dates and booking information soon so keep an eye out as spaces are limited.

Looking for a relaxed class to take your newborn to?

Baby Massage 💙 is a wonderful opportunity for you to communicate and bond with your new baby through a loving and positive touch.

Over our 5 week course you will learn how to provide your little one with a full body massage as well as gain techniques to help ease common conditions such as colic, constipation, reflux and teething pains.

Sessions include around 40 minutes of massage followed by a 20 minute break for tea/coffee - a great oppertunity for you to get to know other local mums and for your little one to make some new friends! ☕

An exciting new workshop for mum and baby! 🤍

In the first of a new workshop series, based on all things sensory play, we will focus on your baby's sense of sight. 🤍

During this session you'll have the opportunity to gain lots of ideas for simple sensory play at home and have all of the materials at hand to have a go and create your own little kit for your little one to take home.
From your own themed sensory bottles to colourful trackers, we'll have plenty for you to get stuck into! All materials are provided and should time run away with us, there will be plenty of pre-made items at hand for you to take away.

👣 Suitable for little ones newborn - 9mths.
All babies will go away with their very own sensory kit, including a personalised cotton tote bag!

🧸Come along and relax in a baby friendly space where little ones can play and make friends with other babies of similar ages.

☕There will be plenty of free- flowing tea/coffee & tasty sweet treats to enjoy throughout the session!🍪

To ensure the session provides the friendly and social atmosphere we wish to create, there are only 10 spaces available, so early booking is advised.

Daddy & Me Baby Massage Special 💙

It's back! Our last Daddy & Me Special was such a success that we have another date for the diary - Saturday 23rd March!

Join us for a fun and relaxed class just for dads and their little ones! Within this session, dads will learn some simple baby massage routines to help soothe and bond with their baby.

A maximum of 10 spaces are available to ensure the class is kept small and easy-going—the perfect chance for dads to get to know one another and for their little ones to make some new little friends!

This session is suitable for all little ones aged 6 weeks—crawling.

Should mums and partners wish to stay close by, then The West Monkton Village Hall is located just 2 minutes from The Merry Monk ☕
