With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

🏁 Introducing…

Your 2025 T Class Champion…

Mr Shaun Crouch! 🏁

Going into yesterday’s final race at we knew it was all to play for with Shaun and drawing on points for the championship win.

With a damp start to the day and last years crash still very much in the front of our minds Shaun decided not to push his luck too early.

After a very gentle first run (2:20:10) he went on to push in his 2nd run but span off at Brittens so had his time deleted for track limits (videos to follow)

As the day went on the track warmed and dried and Shaun found more and more grip, knocking a whopping 17 seconds off his time on his 3rd timed lap, launching him into 2nd place, just 0.77 seconds off first place behind Steve Wardle.

The improvements kept coming throughout the afternoon and finished the day with a 1:49:22. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the race win but with Ollie in 3rd place it was enough to bring home the 2025 championship trophy for the class and overall.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, we’ve had a brilliant season but definitely ready for a rest. Next year will look a bit different for us so keep watching for updates on that.

Sack the social media manager! We are at Anglesey again for round 5 and 6 in the this weekend

After a windy start to the day that continued into the afternoon, Shaun managed to jump up to 1st in class and overall after lunch, and clung to the title in the final run, with Steven Wardle in the T5 Mission snapping at his heels just 0.17 seconds behind.

Rain is forecast tomorrow so@could be an interesting day all round

Barbon July 2025…

Where do we start?!

After a soggy start to the day getting set up it cleared for a couple of practice runs. Unfortunately a couple of mishaps for other drivers meant a slow start to the day, and Shaun’s second practice had him navigating an oil spill at the hairpin. After all that we didn’t managed to get any timed runs in before lunch, but got a good damp run in after lunch before the rain came in properly, securing our results for the day.

The heavy rain that was forecast at lunch finally hit just after 2pm, meaning the final 2 runs were more of a swim than a drive, meaning we missed the final run completely.

After all that we came away First in Class, Fastest Liverpool Motorclub Member, as well as Fastest Time of the Day.

Thank you as always to Liverpool and Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Clubs for a great event under very challenging conditions.

Time to dry off and regroup before Croft next weekend for round 4 of the

Another brilliant day at Barbon Hillclimb

Somehow got away with the weather and spent most of the day on slicks.

It was fairly plain sailing until the final run when an unfortunate timing issue caused him to have 2 re-runs, but it was worth it in the end to finish with a 26.04, securing him 1st in class and 3rd overall.

A huge thank you to Liverpool motor club, Kirkby Lonsdale motor club and the army of Marshalls for a brilliant day
