**NEW** COMPLETE BEGINNERS REFORMER PILATES 4 Week Courses starting in Tarleton
Wednesdays 7pm and 8pm starts 7th September

Spaces are limited so pre booking is essential
WHAT IS REFORMER PILATES?
All the benefits of normal Pilates but on a Reformer bed. Its sliding platform helps you stretch into new positions. Weighted pullies and springs both give resistance and support to work your muscles and joints.

Tech talk: What’s a Reformer bed?
A low bed with a sliding platform known as a carriage. You can lie, sit, kneel or stand on it to glide into different stretches, working against pullies and springs to build your strength fast.

WHY DO REFORMER PILATES?
10 reasons why you should convert to Reformer Pilates
- You’ll become long & lean
- It boosts your metabolism
- Improves coordination
- Helps boost performance in other sports
- Helps you recovery from injury
- Improves your flexibility
- Improves your posture
- It’s low impact
- It teaches you how to breathe better
- It’s an awesome core workout

CAN BEGINNERS DO REFORMER PILATES?
Absolutely. There’s no need to start with Mat Pilates. The Pilates Reformer is one of the most effective and adaptable pieces of exercise equipment available anywhere, which means it can be set up to meet the specific needs of a wide group of clients - anyone from from an absolute beginner who’s new to Pilates and/or exercise, to the most advanced hardcore Pilates practitioner.

What will it be like?
You’ll be introduced to the equipment, techniques and some of the basic exercises that underpin Pilates. The focus is on understanding how the core muscles work, learning to activate them correctly, and beginning to improve your general strength, flexibility and posture.
Whilst these are introductory classes, and less intense than some of our other classes, we’ll still make sure you challenge your muscles and get those all-important endorphins flowing.

While the Pilates Reformer can look intimidating, it’s actually a simple and easy-to-use piece of exercise equipment. Similarly, Pilates moves are not complicated in themselves, but they do need to be performed properly, with the correct technique, focus and precision. The best way to learn Reformer Pilates is to attend a Beginners Course or book a 1-1 sessions with our expert instructors. They will help you understand how the Reformer works, help you master the basic techniques and exercises that underpin all Pilates practice, and guide and support you as you progress.

In tonights Yin Pilates - Deep Stretch and relaxation I'll be offering a Lions Gate Portal Meditation for manifesting and setting intentions.

What is the Lion’s Gate Portal?

Every year on 8th August an astrological event called the Lion’s Gate Portal "opens" in the sky.

The Lion's Gate Portal is like a cosmic holiday, occurring every year when a certain alignment happens in the sky.

The Lion's Gate Portal marks the alignment of the sun in Leo, the star Sirius (the brightest star in the night sky), the constellation Orion’s Belt and the Earth. Within astrology, the fixed star Sirius is said to have the expansive qualities of the planet Jupiter and the drive to get those things done of the planet Mars — hence a day for manifesting.

When is the Lion's Gate Portal? The date has a numerological significance?
The portal is “open” between 26th July and 12th August. However, its powers are most potent on August 8, which is known by some as the Galactic New Year.

The significance of the date (8th August or 8/8) shouldn’t be overlooked. Within numerology — and in certain cultures — the number 8 means wealth, luck, and good vibes. Plus, when turned sideways, 8 represents the symbol for infinity. It represents abundance, which might relate to what you're manifesting.
The number 8 is the number of infinity. It is the energy of empowerment.

It supports efforts and intentions that manifest in the material world.

Its power resides in its ability for manifestation on every level.
A double eight, as in 88, is said to bring double joy.

The number eight is reflective of power, abundance, and success.
The August 2022 New Moon this Thursday 11th August is also a great time to reflect within and realize what is really important in your life.

It is a time to discard old habits and thoughts, all failures, toxic people and embrace the new experience that the New Moon promises us.

We are here to heal each other, rise together, support and uplift one another.

There is a saying, the longest journey is from your head to your heart.

Your heart centre is your power centre and connection to your true and highest potential.

So get out of your head, and get out of your own way.
Surrender. Heal. Let go. Forgive. Embrace the change.
Step into your true potential.

Know that life is about the journey and the journey is the destination.

Yoga and Pilates is a great way to find time to connect with your inner spirit.

TO BOOK Yin Pilates - suitable for all levels. You can book via our website. Or simply message us and we'll be in touch to get you booked in.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE. 2A Pilates will be closing from 1st October ***

To all our clients Pilates Reformer Group and 1:1 Sessions will be available in our sister studio Pilates in Tarleton Pilates • Barre • Yoga • Wellness

We are so grateful for your support to date and without you we wouldn't have grown a lovely Pilates Reformer community in our gorgeous studio in Tarleton.

As some of you will be aware Reformer sessions ran in our sister studio next door. When Unit 2A became available in February 2020 we were at full capacity with waiting lists. This was therefore the perfect opportunity to open a new studio. We had a lot of support from clients and we were set to move in March 2020. We moved into Unit 2A IN July 2020 and opened in September 2020.

It turns out sadly 2020 wasn't the right time to expand a fitness and wellbeing business from November 2020 we then incurred a further 7 months of lockdown closures plus further Covid Waves affecting class attendance. From 1st October Reformer sessions will be available (just next door) in our sister studio Pilates in Tarleton.

Pilates in Tarleton is absolutely beautiful.
**Beautiful premises
**Less noise from the road / junction
**1st floor privacy
**Beautiful reception area
**Beautiful waiting area and relaxation room pre-post class

Thank you once again for your support.

Kind regards,

Jane.
