Bear having a clip today- only a month since I last clipped her, but she was a mammoth! 🤣 I used to hate clipping cos Sal isn’t the easiest to clip, but I love it when they’re as easy to clip as Bear is- this is only her second time being clipped and she was as good as gold 😁🩷🦄

Love spending time with my girls. They all seem to be more than happy living out - but to be honest, a very mild October is helping matters. Can’t believe it’s been as high as 17c today!! Bear and Sal have had their rugs off and all of them have had good groom- and I always enjoy watching them having groomies with each other too 😍
The babies always battle for my attention, and when I’m grooming one, I always feel the other one’s face on me, begging for my attention too, lol - the joys of babies 😝 Meanwhile, naughty Sal has to have a headcollar on to be brushed, cos she hates it 🤣 But absolutely love my little tribe. 🩷🦄

The yearling showing what a good girl she is to have her feet picked out- a daily thing. My farrier doesn’t have any problem with doing her feet, and why should they? It’s our job as their owners to make sure they have manners. Good girl Swanky! 🥰🩷

The girls are loving living out. I’ve never had my horses living out before, but so far, they’re doing well! (Think I’ll be crying by January though, lol)
😝

Even though I have two youngsters , and I am a firm believer in allowing them to be horses, they also have to learn manners from day one. Both my babies pick all their feet up in the open fields with no headcollar on- in fact, Bear actually offers her hooves to me now like Sal does 🥺today, they had the farrier and they were good as gold. Bear also had the physio today, who was really pleased with her and told me “I can keep this one” - so brilliant news ! 🤣🥰😀🩷🤗

Well, here is my lovely yearling , Swanky. She arrived in July with Bear. She only turned one in August, bless her. She’s mega sweet and loves her treats , she’s also very sassy! 🤣 She’s out of a stallion called Odysseus, and her grandad is Grandorado TN, so she some nice bloodlines there. She’s currently living out, but handled daily. I’ve taken a couple of small in-hand walks up the country lane to get her seeing things, which she doesn’t seem phased by! Looking forward to our future together - (Although when the time comes, I do think Swanky may be a bit more spicier to break in than Bear has been!) 🤣😁🩷🥰

Not been active on here properly for a few years, but thought it would be a good time to bring my page back to life again! 🤣🙌
Got lots of exciting times ahead, but firstly, for anyone that’s not got me on my own personal FB page- let me introduce you to one of my new horses , Bear. Bear is a 3 year old KWPN x Connemara, out of a Grade A stallion, Challenge. I bought her unbroken, directly from her breeder in July. I’d gone and bought a yearling (more about her tomorrow) , and whilst visiting, Bear popped her head over the stable door, and it was love at first sight! I just knew she had to be mine, and she wasn’t even up for sale! 🤣 I have been breaking her in on my own, and she’s proving to be a very good, sensible girl- she will hack out on her own, and we’re already cantering round open fields too. I absolutely adore her and look forward to what the next year brings for us 🩷🥰🐻

Well, again, I’ve been rubbish at posting on here- but here’s a few little pics of good old Sal- enjoying a bit of field time, and strutting her stuff at the local dressage the other week. We have a couple of competitions coming up next week- I am really looking forward to our outings!! We’re full steam ahead, and at now 23 years old, she is still feeling on top form! 🙏 😁🦄🩷

Not been on here in a while, but thought I would update you all… 😀

On the 3rd May my new boy Disaronno (Ronnie for short) arrived over from Ireland! A very leggy 4 year old unbroken Irish Sports Horse.

I saw his advert for sale and his pictures, and I’ll be perfectly honest, I didn’t go “wow” , I just thought, “he’s ok” and I enquired anyway as I was looking for a young, unbroken horse , and with only being 5’2 and Ronnie only being 15hh, he was just the perfect size for me!
When I asked the seller sent me a video of him, I was instantly won over and I knew I had to have him- I could see what he could be and that he was exactly what I wanted!!! 😍

When he arrived , he was dropped off at the top of the lane near a busy main road (as the wagon was so big, it wouldn’t have been able to fit done the lane!) he was unloaded and I loved him instantly ! (I also wondered how a barely touched 4yr old would manage walking down a unknown country lane after travelling for hours ! 🤣🙈) thankfully, he got off like a little lamb and he’s actually remained that way, sort of 🤣😍♥️

In the short duration I’ve had him, he’s had to learn manners from day 1 - he will happily tie up and let you groom him and pick out all his hooves, he has had to learn how to behave in-hand and already been to his first in-hand show too! (he’s actually always been pretty good to handle to be fair!) , he’s had to have a bit in for the first time and a saddle on, I’ve long reined him, I’ve lunged him and I’ve backed him ♥️ I’ve gone as far as I can go with him as I’m on my own a lot of the time , so he’s being sent off to be broken in on the 18th- but to know I’ve put all this hard work and effort into him makes me pleased and proud. He’s really flourished in the short duration I’ve had him.

It was a huge gamble buying something unseen and unbroken. I had no idea how he would react to everyday things , how his temperament would be etc. I was sent a lot of footage of him thankfully, but you still never know exactly what you’re going to get when that horse get off the wagon to an unfamiliar place !
Luckily for me, Ronnie has been everything and more I could have ever hoped for- he’s so easy going, not spooky at all and takes everything in his stride.

I’m really excited for the future with him , I’m 150% dedicated to him and so pleased he’s part of the family! 😍💕♥️

Here are a few pics over the last couple of months …

Looking for a horse for myself for full loan with view to buy, to move to a lovely, quiet yard in Charnock Richard. Wanting something 15hh+ , ideally a sort I can do a bit of everything on- mainly dressage but something I could perhaps pop over the odd jump as well (that’s not essential though as it’s not really my thing, I just feel up for popping the odd jump sometimes 🤣) Pretty open to breeds and types to be honest - would prefer a sporty type though as I do love my warmbloods and TB’s. References available - would be coming to a loving, knowledgeable home and need for nothing. Thanks 🙂
