Track to the car park - 10mph, single track. Parking - If Car park full please park in Tarland and cycle in. Toilets - Please use The Commercial Hotel (Aberdeenshire Comfort Partnership)

🚨 RIDERS OF DRUMMY WOODS – PLEASE TAKE CARE! 🚨

We have had a report of a near miss at the exit of Drummy Woods onto Burnside Road.

🚲 Riders: Please STOP, look both ways and check carefully for traffic before exiting onto Burnside Road.

🚗 Drivers: Please slow down to 20mph and expect to see cyclists and other trail users emerging from the woods.

⚠️ We are already investigating additional signage and safety measures at this location. However, everyone has a responsibility to take care and be alert at junctions.

Please take an extra few seconds to STOP, LOOK and CHECK before entering or crossing the road. 🚲🚗

It’s important to be responsible and respectful of others when out for a ride—especially around the livestock & farmland which surrounds the trails. 🙌

✅ Keep dogs under close control—use a lead or reliable recall near livestock.
✅ Avoid disturbing sheep & young lambs. 🐑
✅ Stay on designated trails away from livestock—respect private land and busy farming operations. Give farmers & machinery plenty of space if they are moving through the trail centre. 🚜
✅ Be mindful of other riders, walkers 🥾 & trail users 🐴—not everyone is comfortable around dogs.

Tarland Development Group are looking for an enthusiastic Community Cycling & Trails Manager to lead and manage Tarland Trails and grow cycling opportunities across the Howe of Cromar.

This is a unique chance to:
🚵 Grow community cycling for all ages and abilities
🌲 Develop and improve our award-winning trail centre
🤝 Work with volunteers, schools and partner organisations
🎉 Deliver exciting cycling events and programmes
💚 Make a lasting difference to an ambitious community project

📍 Tarland, Aberdeenshire
⏰ 28 hours per week (4 days), 3 years
💷 £31,250 pro rata + employer pension contributions
📅 Closing date: Friday 21 August, 5pm

Tarland entries our now closed! 400 riders, chaperones and spectators will decend on Tarland Trails for Doon Tha Brae's largest event ever!

Time to thank for the support and thanks to everyone who has already supported local businesses by coming to Aberdeenshire.
