Whilst riding Cut Gate today, we met James, who is walking solo from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for Mountain Rescue.

As mountain bikers, we never know when we — or a fellow rider — might need to rely on their service, so this is an incredible effort for such an important cause. We really enjoyed chatting with James during our encounter today and were inspired by his determination.

Day 4 of the BFMTB Scotland trip - what a way to bring our amazing Scottish MTB trip to an end!! Amazing rides today around Aberdeenshire - wild trails over Pitfichie and Bennachie - great trails.
I managed to impale my rear tyre on a broken tree branch and Nick very skilfully balanced his BMW on a rock 😬

Simon Davies got knocked off by the same tree branch that got me, right after telling him about said tree branch, but to be fare he has successfully completed all rides this trip without stopping for a wild s**t. Let’s not mention you reversing your van into a tree and destroying your brake lever.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 AYE, IT’S TIME TAE SHRED THE HIGHLANDS!

This weekend BFMTB are heading north for 4 days of epic riding around Tarland, Aberdeenshire & the Cairngorms! MTB Gravity are already up shredding Glentress!

Back home, BFMTB ride weekly across the Peak District and local favourites around Marple, Hayfield, Disley & Mellor and with the occasional Castleton mashup with both groups — proving you don’t need to go far for amazing trails.
