I did my first unassisted pull-up in years last week šŸ’Ŗ

Not bad for someone who has injured both shoulders, dealing with SI joint dysfunction and spent years rebuilding strength.

The interesting part? I wasn’t convinced I could do it but my coach was.

I’ve recently started training with Mike at the gym where I train because sometimes even Personal Trainers need Personal Trainers.

In just two sessions he had me:
āœ” Squatting with a straight barbell again
āœ” Doing an unassisted pull-up

Things I’d stopped doing because of injuries and fear of further injury, not because I wasn’t capable.

A reminder that sometimes the biggest thing holding us back isn’t our body.

It’s our belief.

The last 5 years I’ve been quietly putting in the work, rebuilding my strength, improving mobility, rehabbing injuries, backing off when I needed to and starting again when I could......it hasn’t been perfect.

There have been setbacks, frustrations and times I’ve had to start again.

But I never gave up completely. I kept going, not perfectly but consistently..... and that’s what pays off.

We can do hard things.

Sometimes we just need someone to show us that we can.

That’s exactly why I love what I do because every day I get to help women see what’s possible. Not by doing anything magical. but by helping them build confidence, strength and belief one step at a time.
So if there’s something you’ve convinced yourself you can’t do...Maybe the truth is... You just can’t do it yet. Keep going....You might surprise yourself.

Don’t write yourself off. You’re capable of more than you think.ā¤ļø

I’ve recently had a client return to Pilates after a hip replacement…

Before her operation, she kept coming to classes and often said it was Pilates that kept her moving while she waited. When things felt stiff, uncomfortable and uncertain, it gave her a way to stay mobile and connected to her body.

And now?

She’s back… and moving better than she has in a long time

Not because we’re pushing hard —
but because we focus on what truly matters:

- Gentle, controlled movement

- Stability and balance
- Confidence in her body again

These are real-life situations I work with every single week in my Pilates sessions.

May Bank Holiday done right ā˜€ļø
I swapped my usual routine for a girls’ trip to Fuerteventura with my sister and friends… it was just what I needed.

- 70,000+ steps in 5 days
- Sunshine, laughs & pool time
- Beach walks into Corralejo
- Amazing food (tapas, fresh fish & Italian šŸ˜)
- Artisan markets, live music & even a little dance šŸ’ƒ

A perfect mix of moving the body, relaxing and making memories.
