🏁Tandragee 100 2025 🏁

Well what can I say but what a thrill it was to take part in my first road race and to do it on my home circuit😊

Friday- got my newcomers lap in at the start off the day, then it was onto free practice which was good to get more track time to learn more for qualifying. Later on got out for qualifying and I qualified in P9 which I was over the moon with 😊

We where meant to have a race on Friday evening but it got to late to run it so they moved are 1st race to the 1st race on Saturday morning.

Race 1
Went out for are warm lap and the back section off the track was wet so they let us pull in and change are tyres to wets as we where all on slicks, so back out and I got a okay start could have been better but just settled into the race and had good battles to bring it home in 9th I was buzzing with that result.

Race 2
Track was dry for race 2 so back onto slicks, didn’t get a much better start than race 1 but just pushed on and road a good race battling with Lee osprey the whole race and was so close to the line but just couldn’t get past on the last corner (going round the outside doesn’t work😂) brought it home in 11th

What a weekend of laughs, good craic and with the best people I could ask to be around me. I think it’s the best races I have ever had and just an unbelievable track to ride, really happy with my results and glad that we came home safe😊

Massive thank you to everyone that helped me over the weekend I really appreciate it all so much i wouldn’t have been able to do it without you all. Also thank you to everyone that has messaged me I really appreciate all the comments and positive feedback it means a lot and to everyone that came to say hello.

Thank you to all the photographers for the pictures they are all amazing.

Thank you to all my sponsors cause it wouldn’t have been possible to do this without you all

Race report round 5

We headed to Kirkistown Circuit for round 5 of Ulster Superbike Championship on 21st June

Qualifying didn’t go to plan as much as I wanted it to, I forgot to turn the traction control off and the bike was holding me back coming out off the corners but qualified in P3 for the supersport cup race which I was happy with

Race 1
Was off to a good start off the line but hit a false natural and couldn’t get it into 2nd, got past by about 10 riders into first corner so just got the head down and push on through the race to crawl back to finish in P3

Race 2
Got off to a better start and was sitting in 2nd most off the race made a pass for the lead and held it for a bit but go past and made a mistake and couldn’t just get to the leader but still happy enough to finish in P2

Big thanks to my dad and all the crew that I was pitting with such great help over the weekend and we had some laughs

This wouldn’t be possible without the help of all my sponsors so just want to say a massive thanks to them

Race report round 4

Round 4 off the Ulster Superbike Championship was held at Kirkistown Circuit on 7th June

Qualifying was wet, I didn’t do to bad trying to get the bike set up from after my off at the Easter weekend, qualified 8th in the cup class which moved me into the pro race and I was happy enough with that.

Race 1
Got a good start of the line and had the bike set up a bit better for the wet conditions, had some good battles and brought it home in 4th

Race 2
Track was drying before my race but didn’t think it was dry enough for slicks so stuck with the wets and what a bad choice, done the warm up lap and the whole track was dryingđŸ«Ł but got a good start and was sitting in third for a few laps and then was battling with four other riders for that third place but came home in 5th

Was happy enough with my results considering not being on the bike for 7 weeks after my crash at Easter.

Just want to say massive thanks to my dad and Allen for helping me through the day and everyone else that helped you know who you are.

Big thanks to my sponsors

Race report round 2

Round 2 off the Ulster Superbike Championship was at Bishopscourt Race Circuit on Friday and Saturday

Friday’s qualifying was a bit of mixed conditions front part off track was dry and back section was wet but we never knew it was wet cause didn’t go look, we decided to go out on dry tyres and was a bad decision we made and didn’t get a good qualifying time so but us way back on row 6 off the supersport b race.

The rest off Friday was called off due to the heavy rain.

Saturday morning rain was still coming down a bit but they went ahead with the racing.

Race 1
Picked the right tyres this time, but unfortunately off the line a fella stalled a few rows infront off me and I didn’t see him till it was to late, hit the back off him and down I went then another fella came off behind me and his bike slide down the track and smacked into my back, I couldn’t move and was just lying on the track.
Big thank you to the marshals and medical team for looking after me and getting me to the hospital, after some X-rays and checks, I have 3 broken ribs, bruised lung and a pneumothorax, but on the mend and hopefully be out again on the 7th June all being well

Big thanks and apologies to my sponsors for how the weekend went but couldn’t do it without them

đŸ’„News about this years plansđŸ’„

So after a successful first year in short circuits in the production twins, finishing 3rd in the championship we have decided to move up to the supersport cup class on a Kawasaki 636.

Yesterday we headed to Kirkistown for the first track day off the year and what a fantastic day it was the weather was perfect and the track was in good condition with a few new parts that have been resurfaced. It was my first time out on the bike and I was really happy with how the day went, I got faster as the sessions went on and really pleased with how the bike is handling.

Thanks to Sam laffins for coming down and helping me set the bike up and getting it more suited to me.
Also thanks to my dad, gareth, Neil and Alan for the help too.
