Maydown International Tools Supporting Critical UK Component Manufacturers
At Maydown our technical sales team are working around the clock to continue to support customers who need to produce critical parts through this difficult period. In the last week alone we have worked with two of our clients requiring our experience and guidance to rapidly set up for the production of critical ventilator components.
On Friday our Midlands area Technical Manager Darren Ellis, assisted a customer 'tool up' his lathes to produce Oxygen hose couplings made form 316 stainless steel. Darren used his expertise, knowledge of the customers machines and readily available tooling to select DNMG 150604 roughing at 90m/min, a DCMT11T302, VNMG1604402, VBMT160402 to finish the various profiles on the component at 110 m/min. Part off and Grooving using A2040N00CF02 & A4G0205M02UO2GMN running at 90 m/min to produce a component, complete in 5 minutes 30 seconds, allowing the components to be produced over the weekend at a rate of 40 per hour !
