Yes I know it’s too bloody hot for clothes right now and no I don’t have any idea how to fit an air conditioning unit into a T-shirt… yet!

Though a few clients have asked for a T-shirt so I guess I’ll do the PT version again

If you want one let me know. I can pretty much do whatever I like with these these days and I’m happier with the quality. Can basically put the designs on any garment I like and any colour I like so if you have a preference let me know

If you want one great, if you don’t also great

They won’t be on the website and I do these for clients cheaper. Not interested in making a profit from client sales (you already give me enough and I’m grateful for it)

I will never not enjoy the gun shot effect of a punch/kick echoing through the bridge

Pads with and (saving Maddie for a separate post. Tactical I know)

Putting a few things together and having a giggle with it. Both are up for trying new things and both terrify me in their own way. They never fail put a smile on my face (no matter how I might actually be feeling) with their cheery disposition

For me fitness should be fun and you should look forward to whatever it is you choose to do. I really enjoy being on the pads and always look forward to all of the sessions I do with all of my clients

If you are looking to try something new where you can have a giggle, let out a bit of stress and improve your fitness in a pressure free environment then few free to send me a message

And you can tell people that you stay fit by beating up a mentally disabled purple bearded man under a bridge (out of context it really gets people on edge, but I get to play those cards)

SHOULDER MOBILITY DRILL

This is something that you can do everyday without any equipment (though as you get better at them you can add a resistance band)

Place your hands behind your head and interlace your fingers. For some people, even this may be tough (especially for the big guys in the gym who can typically struggle with shoulder mobility). From there, drive the elbows back. This helps to open up the shoulders and you will feel these in your rhomboids and mid traps

These are especially good for those that sit at a computer all day or spend a lot of time looking down at their phones (so pretty much all of us). I also do these before squatting to open up my shoulders to allow myself to comfortably hold the bar on a high or low bar back squat

Do 1 set of 12-15 twice a day (or more if desired). Also, add 1-2 sets of these before squatting. You can also do some right now as you stare down into your phone realising that now is the perfect time to open yourself back up

There are 4 main areas where an overhead lift can break down. It’s natural that as a lift becomes heavier it will breakdown at certain points. This is where being able to identify where the lift is breaking down can be a huge help in knowing what you need to target

Being able to identify the weaknesses in your current ability and then strengthen them helps to keep pushing through plateaus, keeps your shoulders healthy and allows you to move more weight safely
