Tomorrow we head to Lichfield to take on Lichfield Athletic. Can we make it 6 wins from 6?

Hopefully the boys will start alot better this week after being outplayed for 60 minutes in the last outing even though we won 4-0.

ERB Cup.

Queens Head 0-4 ECL Fc.

After a couple of stand downs it was finally time to see who would come out on top of this one. Queens made some strong signings over the weeks and had a good size squad turn up when ECL only had 1 sub with Binks, Glover, Polly, Goughy, George & Harley all missing

Queens as expected were well up for it. Dominating the midfield for the first 35 minutes but only creating 1 big chance which was put wide of the Barrels goal. Few long range shots from distance missed the target but other than that comfortable for the 3 big defenders.

After 40 minutes ECL finally started to get a bit of joy in the Queens half with Perry putting a volley wide of the post of a cross from a Sam Jones.

Minutes after that Dan Hales hit a rocket which left the keeper no chance. Half time ended with Queens wondering how they've gone 1-0 down.

2nd half was much more comfortable. Queens seem to run out of ideas and energy. Jim scored a lovely bicycle kick from a corner.
A red card for Queens really took it out of them when the ball was handled on the line. Baker stepped up and hit a few birds out the sky. That didn't really matter though as moments later Zac scored a ridiculous goal. 35 yards out on his weaker foot he hit a rocket that flew in to the top corner. 3-0, game set and match. Could they be the team to finally stop Perry from scoring? No they couldn't. The ECL king ran through and comfortably fired the ball past the on rushing keeper giving Perry his 12th goal of the season in just 6 games.

Comfortable win in the end as the Brillant ECL defenders never really gave the front line a sniff.

Big mention to Stu, Dan and Zac who once started playing were different class in the midfield battle.

ECL 2-1 Glascote.

This game was all about which Glascote team would turn up. Apart from 1 suspension they had a very strong side out.

A tackle from behind from Ant Baker gave the visitors a penalty in which they buried to give themselves a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately for Glascote it woke the giants up. 1 goal in each half from King Perry secured another win for ECL and making them the only team in the Tamworth league with a 100% record.

5 games. 5 wins. 22 goals scored. Just 5 conceded.

ECL 4-1 Birchmoor.

Very routine win for ECL at there fortress Piccadilly. Comfortable win and a good performance once again raced them in to a 3 goal. Pick of the bunch being Luke Dunn curling the ball round 2 defenders with the keeper just watching it hit the side netting.

Birchmoor pulled 1 back but ECL had the final say finishing the game as it started, one sided.

Fc ATL 2-6 ECL Fc

Down at the valley where was hardly any grass, mainly weeds and mud, Ecl proved to strong for a ATL team that was sitting top of table at the time.

ECL rushed in to another 3-0 lead at half time but a sloppy 5 minutes gave ATL 2 goals. minutes later Zac took a free kick that tickled across the floor took a deflection and rolled in to the corner. After that, there was only ever one winner.
The game also seen Stu Hayes score a screamer after his 849th shot of the season.

Hurley Fc 0-6 ECL Fc

After just 1 game in 3 weeks ECL took on a strong Hurley Kings 1st team. Well it was meant to be strong but ECL strolled up to Hurley Common and rushed in to a 3 goal lead within 10 minutes. Game ended 6-0 with Hurley not having a shot on target all game.
