WORKOUT WEDNESDAY//TRAIN FOR LIFE

So I woke up at 2am this morning and came up with a thought. The thought was how can I make exercise relevant to people specifically who don’t want to look ripped and I thought why not take some photos/ video on some exercises which crossover to everyday life. I think Personally training for life is important as everyone’s goals maybe different as some people just want to be able to do stuff everyday as they get older such as playing with their kids or grandkids or this maybe just to stay mobile so they can maintain their own independence as long as possible and this is one of the reasons which made me fall in love with CrossFit as it isn’t just for the athlete it’s for the person who wants to keep their independence and keep in shape as they get older and as a PT this is more important to me than maybe getting ripped. Functional exercises are by far my favourite for this reason as almost every exercise is a natural movement in which we use everyday. In the videos/ pictures you will see me do the exercise in the gym and then you will see me doing a few reps in an everyday situation which may happen. There are more exercises you can do for everyday life but these are just a few that can pop up. (see story for videos)

SUPER SUNDAY!!!!!

Now the weeks coming to a close I want to know what goals YOU have met and achieved this week and how YOUR going to move forward and achieve your next goal. Here is a few of my own personal achievements this week from my own training the first picture is when I achieved 102.5kg 1 Rep Max front squat and was a 7.5kg increase from my previous 1 Rep Max in June. The next photo is me managing to get 12 double unders which is a movement I’m trying to get better at. The last picture is me failing At headstands🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ however I did manage to get one prior to filming them, but the saying is true your going to get knocked down 1000 times before you are successful 🙌🏻🏋🏻‍♂️

THE TRUTH ABOUT WEIGHTLOSS

The truth about weightloss is well it’s not hard all you have to do is do a simple calorie deficit and exercise you may say “but Josh that sounds easy what about all the other diets?” The truth is that if you want to loose weight long term a calorie deficit is more efficient and effective as many people think if they haven’t seen a difference in a few days then it isn’t working and I can confirm that is BU****IT by losing weight over time you are more likely to losing weight and keeping the weight you want. Bylosing weight rapidly which is unhealthy/ harmful, and as soon as you stop that then you are going to see the weight pile back on proving it’s not effective. At the end of the day guys if you want to lose weight eat a balanced meal go on a calorie deficit and exercise and always remember that carbs are not the enemy like all keto idiots suggest they are a vital nutrient which is our bodies preferred energy source just remember a calorie deficit is simple and simple is slow. Slow is effective and effective is efficient!!! SO STOP DOING DIET FADS!!!!!

MEET THE PERSONAL TRAINER// ABOUT ME

Hi , I am Josh I’m a qualified Personal Trainer in the Tamworth area. I became a personal trainer to not just help athletes out there but the everyday hero’s who want to achieve their goals and become a fitter, faster, stronger and a better person. A bit about me is that as a child I was overweight and obese and was chubby till about the age of 13-14 when I got into running as well as going to the gym and then I became really skinny so I really know how hard it is to put on/ lose weight and how daunting it is to get into fitness. I am also a CrossFit Athlete which I have been doing since the start of 2018 and my goal is to get into competing in which I have done once before as well as help making people’s goals a reality.
My qualifications:
-Level 3 Personal Training Cirtificate
-Level 2 Fitness instructing Diploma
-Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Sport (Performance and exercise)
-level 3 emergency first aid at work
