Congratulations to Donald Macrae, who recorded a fantastic hole-in-one at the 8th hole, using a 7 wood while playing alongside Charlie, Bruce and Jim Hutch.

Even more remarkably, Donald’s son Andrew had a hole-in-one at Kings Golf Club just last week. The odds of a father and son both making holes-in-one so close together are apparently around 150 million to one.

A brilliant golfing story for the Macrae family — and one they will be telling for a long time.

The brackets are taking shape as we move into the business end of this year’s Club Championship Matchplay.

The semi-finals will be played on Friday, with the finals taking place on Saturday in both the Scratch and Handicap sections.

Well done to everyone who has competed so far, and good luck to those still chasing a place in the final.
